Doc needs to go. No more excuses about its the players fault. If they have any faith in Doc they would be playing better. Please no more unproven coaches, we need a coach who preaches winning. None of this "we're trying" bs. It's time for a change.

i don't think Scala's helping us win games, but i do think he's helping Doc keep minutes and development away from players who maybe could help us win games. In the mean time that's all great that he plays defense, but personally I'd rather have someone like Powe or Gomes score 15 points, and allow D Howard score 25, then have Scala score 10, and hold D Howard to 20. They're the same, but then again no they aren't, are they?

Doc Rivers is almost undoubtedly going to be let go at the end of the season. I guess he has one year remaining on his contract. The injuries are not the main reason for the Celtics poor record. Doc in my opinion has not done his due diligence in game time preparation when he splits his time between Orlando and Boston. I would like to see what this bunch of Celtics would do under another HC. Danny Ainge is on the hook because he was the one who deemed the Celtics to be rebuilt. Are the kids going to lead us out of this losing funk?

When I said Doc wasn't doing the work required and was jet setting and whatnot and being distracted by his kid, somebody challenged me on this. I am glad to know I'm not the only one who thinks so.

yep that's the one. Taking a day off to travel tons of miles probably isn't going to help him rest his body or mind any.

And I still dont think that taking one day off to see his son play basketaball is grounds for dismissal. But to each his own.

Well first of all it's not one day. It's a lot of days. Also it's more performance, of which taking time off to make cross country trips is a contributor to his poor performance. And then when a guy refuses to stop doing something that contributes to his poor performance then that is grounds for dismissal. Definitely to Doc his own

Seems like the owners are too cheap to let Doc go now.

Well first of all it's not one day. It's a lot of days. This wasnt implied on the earlier thread.

I still dont think that taking one day off to see his son play basketaball is grounds for dismissal. You were the one that said one day on this thread. It's true that neither of us implied it was only one day on earlier threads. You didn't imply it at all. You just plain said it here.

After my time passes, I would like to know the truth, was it Doc or Danny really running the show?

It's true that neither of us implied it was only one day on earlier threads. You didn't imply it at all. You just plain said it here. Our earlier discussion was over him taking one day to watch his kid play basketball. In this thread you mentioned that "Well first of all it's not one day. It's a lot of days." THe first thread wasnt about a lot of days, it was about Doc taking one day to do personal stuff.

It is well known that Doc pretty much takes off as much time as he can whenever he can to fly wherever his son is playing bball or to his home in Florida. It is a well known pattern of behavior on his part and has been for years now. In the first thread I said he was taking the day off to watch his kid play, but there isn't really an implication that it was the first or last time. Rather I said he should be working to make the Cs better. I said the Cs should say "while the team is below .500 you can't go see your kid play or we'll fine you a day's pay" which implies I expected him to do this again and that he does it often enough that it's an issue.

I'm hoping that while Ainge is away overseas, scouting a lot of international talent, that he's looking at some of the coaches there also. I think their team offensive strategies are ahead of the NBA's, and that's what we want to incorporate anyways.
