We bounced back from a slow start in the 2nd quarter. That's an encouraging sign that we are able to fight back and regain control on the road, but its also a bad sign that we allow lowly teams to get ahead of us like that.
Seems like tides changed once Delonte was taken out. He was useful as a scoring option, but not as our offensive director. Telfair came back in and did a better job. He may not be playing lights out basketball, but in the past 6 games, he's dished out 23 assists to only 6 TO's (none in the past 2 games, and none so far in this game).

Give our boys some credit for this game--they came off a grueling game last night (both Al and Tony played heavy minutes) and are at it again tonight.
Al is playing against the league's 2nd best shot blocker (1st, after tonight's game), but still was able to put up 22 and 10. Its good to see that Jefferson met the challenge and took it at Okafor without backing down.

this win streak is unbelievable. It's the best they have played in a long long time. Nearly every player is doing all that could be asked of them. Doc is even acting like an NBA coach almost. Like he knew this would happen all along. I guess if I were him I'd do the same thing.
At least now if some youth is traded it's at least for a gold medal guy or all star. I love having the depth we have.
I wonder how things will change when Gomes and Perk get back. I hope for the better.

You have to give some kudos to Doc. This isn't an easy situation juggling all these guys, and it seems like we are starting to find a solid rotation. Great games for Paul, Al, Tony and Delonte in particular.

Tony didn't have a big game like he did last night, but he comes up with key plays that don't always reflect in the box scores. He comes up with big rebounds or he keeps them alive. And he'll disrupt his man on defense and though he may not come up with the steal, he bothers them enough to get them out of rhythm so that they have to reset.
Wally was basically a non factor in this game and Doc didn't use him that much. It didn't affect the outcome of this game, but for the season, we need Wally to come up big off the bench. Delonte's scoring was nice and that's what we need him to do. Doc needs to use his scoring instead of making him our backup PG. Rajon needs to take that role.
As the season progresses, I'm hoping Gerald and Powe find their roles. We need their contributions--Gerald and his versatile scoring and Powe with his rebounding and situational scoring.
Right now, I'm happy with Jefferson at Center and Gomes at PF--they make a good offensive combination and rebounding tandem. I'd stick with that combo even after Perk returns from his plantar fasciniatis. Perk can be an impact rebounder and defender off the bench, which will be a big plus for us. Perk and Powe off the bench will give us 2 physical rebounders and defensive players with long arms.
