A real coach would not tolerate this jump shot marathon. This is ridiculous. I agree and a good coach would take out the players who aren't getting it done and give others a try. It looks like Doc is going to win this round in the contest for the worst coach in the NBA

Knicks inbound to start the fourth. Celtics with full court pressure. Knicks miss a long jumper. Robinson called for a foul on the rebound. West with a 3 from the corner. Celtics still pressing with Delonte and Rondo in the back court. Richardson gets inside and lays it in and draws the foul on Rondo. Wally in for Rondo. Richardson hits the FT. West brings it up. Tony misses from the FT line. Green with the rebound ans put back. Robinson misses a jumper. Allen with the rebound and he throws it away. Pierce back in for Powe. but where are our rebounders and defense in the paint? Richardson hits off the screen. West hits from the top of the key. Pierce with a foul on Curry. Curry at the line. He misses the first hits the second. Pierce almost turns it over but Lee steps out of bounds with the ball and it goes back to the Celtics. Wally misses a 3. PP gets the rebound and gets it inside to Telfair who misses a layup. NY rebounds. Pierce called for his 3rd foul. Time out with NY up 87-68 and 8:41 left in the 4th. We have no rebounders, no shot blockers, and no inside defenders in the game. Powe did a good job in his 2 minutes in the game but Doc took him out before he could really do anything. Doc definitely wins the worst coach trophy tonight.

We are loosing EVERY statistical category , to the New York Knicks, what a shameful exhibition of no pride at all. If PP doesnt care enough to lead this team I say trade him now while his value is at a maximum, fire Doc, and lets get a coach who can use our talented young players as they should be used.

Green goes hard to the hoop and misses a layup as he hits the floor. He was hit but no call. Robinson called for a carry. West takes it to the hoop and misses a runner. NY rebounds. Curry called for an offensive foul as he bulls his way through a double team. Powe and Scal in for Wally and pierce. Offensive foul on Powe as he drives to the basket. It didn't look like a foul on the replay... must be a violetism. Frye misses a jumper. Green with the rebound. Scal misses a 3. Frye called for a foul as he battles Powe on the boards. Celtics inbound and then Tony travels and turns it over. Knicks miss and Celtics get the rebound. Tony turns it over as he fumbles a pass. Frye called for an offensive foul. Time out with NY up 92-70 and 5:23 left in the 4th.

We were out rebounded 43-29 and that is unexcusable. Part of it is lack of committment and effort on behalf of the players and part of it is that Doc kept going small with NO rebounders in the game. Balkman and Tony rebounds. Scal finds a cutting Powe who slams it home. Lee hits a jumper over Powe. Powe takes it to the basket and draws the foul on Robinson. Powe misses the first. There is some discussion by the refs about something. and now they gave the Celtics the ball out of bounds. Celtics turn it over inside. 3 second violation on the Knicks. Powe takes it hard to the basket and is fouled hard by Balkman. He hits both FTs. Knicks miss and NY wins the race to the long rebound. Ny misses a 3 and Balkman gets a weak side rebound. Balkman misses the put back and Knicks grab the rebound. Knicks don't shoot and gets a SC violation with 5.3 on the click. Celtics don't get a shot off and final score is 101-77. this is very depressing. The Celtics couldn't handle the zone defense all night. A good coach would have had them take it to the basket and moving without the ball instead of having them heaving up 3's that didn't go in. We were 4 of 21 from the 3 and should have been taking it to the basket. We shot 18 free throws to 39 for the Knicks because we just weren't aggressive and didn't take it to the basket. We were out rebounded 48-30. It was just a terrible lack of effort by the team and terrible coaching by Doc. He wins round 2 in the battle for worst coach in the NBA.

FL, I applaud you for perservering throughout the game. It was so pitiful that I didn't want to come here and post (or vent) my thoughts and lay it out on you guys. You are certainly a trooper for sticking with it till the end.

We played so bad that the Tommy Award goes to David Lee.... I think I am going to be sick. Coaches worth anything watched this tonight and we will see a lot more zones because we couldn't do anything against it. Doc of course won't be able to coach them on what to do to break the zone.

Watching Doc's post game right now is pretty painful right now too. I wonder if he will ever just say one time "I coached horribly tonight. It's not my guy's fault. It's all mine."

It is a bloody shame that I cannot enjoy my week off counting on the Celtics taking care of business. Poor passion and effort is completely unacceptable and I wirebrush everyone for these putrid results this week. Having NBA pass, I can follow plenty of other teams that put forth an effort when I return in December.
