Q at the turn - Celtics let the Knicks right back in here with poor ball movement and some luck on the Knicks part. We need another Celtics run to put this away.

Celtics inbound. Telfair throws it away. He got hit twice by Robinson but no calls. Crawford misses. Curry rebounds and misses. PP rebounds. West misses a jumper. NY rebounds. Robinson hits a jumper. Lead is down to 14. Wally has it knocked away by Marbury. Still Boston ball. PP misses from the Ft line. NY rebounds. PP called for a blocking foul. He hits both FTs. Lead is down to 12. PP misses a 3 and NY rebounds. Crawford misses a long 3. Rondo rebounds. Green's jumper goes halfway down and rattles out. Francis lays it in and draws the foul. Knicks have scored 10 straight. Perk sits down with his 4th foul. Scal is in. Francis hits the FT and the lead is down to 9. PP fouled before the shot but Knicks are in the penalty. He hits the first. Tony in for Scal. He hits the second. Robinson takes it coast to coast and draws the foul. He hits both FTs. Celtics have 3.1 on the clock. West with a baseball pass up court to Tony who is fouled by Marbury on the catch. he hits the first and misses the second. Balkman rebounds as the buzzer sounds. Score at the end of 3 is Boston 88 NY 78. We let them shave 10 points off of a 20 point lead. We need to stay aggressive and not let them come back.

Knicks inbound to start the fourth. Patrick Ewing getting an ovation. They booed him regularly when he played here. Crawford misses but Lee is there to slam home the miss. West misses a 3. NY rebounds. Crawford gets it to the basket and is fouled. He makes the first. Gomes is back in. misses the second. Lane violation called and he gets another try. He hits this one and the lead is down to 6. Gomes is fouled by Francis as he takes it up under the basket. Gomes hits both FTs. Crawford hits an open 3. Lead is down to 5. West flips up a shot in the lane and is fouled by Lee. Telfair back in. West hits both FTs. Robinson called for an offensive foul as he drives into the lane. PP goes baseline around Marbury and lays it in. Time out with 10:14 left in the 4th and Boston up 94-85

Doc brought back his starters quickly because he recognized that small ball would not work with the Knicks like it did against the Blazers. Have to credit the Knicks for not quitting and Coach Isiah pulling that slug Eddy Curry.

i don't think Doc ever "recognizes" anything. I think he just gets statistically lucky every once in a while. Even a blind squirel finds a nut.

Robinson missses a 3 and saves the rebound in to the Knicks. Crawford is fouled. He misses the first. hits the second. West brings the ball up. PP feeds inside to gomes who is stripped by Robinson. Wally called for a blocking foul. Marbury hits the first. Rondo in for Wally. He hits the second. Ball goes out off Knicks but they call it Knicks ball. Yet another bad call for these refs. Knicks miss a layup. Gomes rebounds. Bassy misses a 3. Gomes rebounds. PP misses a 3.Ny REbounds. West with a block but they call it a goal tend. and foul. Double techs called on Robinson and Telfair. Crawford misses the FT Gomes rebounds. Defensive 3 seconds on the Knicks. PP hits the T. West is bleeding on his left hand but he is still playing. Wally hits a 3 from the top of the arc. Crawford misses a wild shot and ball goes out off NY. Gomes misses from the corner. West flies in and tips it in but they wave it off and call a loose ball foul. Another bad call by the refs. Richardson at the line. Hits the both FTs. Refs finally see the blood on Delonte and they bandage it. Rondo comes in for West. PP hits a jumper from the top of the key. Robinson goes to the basket and Wally has fouled out. West comes in for Wally. Wally very upset. Robinson hits both FTs. West misses a jumper. Rondo tracks down the rebound. Robinson fouls Pierce. Celtics inbound on the side. Telfair misses a jumper in the lane. Ny rebounds. Robinson hits a 3 from the top of the arc to cut the lead to 3. Rondo's shot is blocked by Robinson. Crawford is fouled by Telfair. Time out with 4:54 left in the 4th and Boston up 100-97... I can't believe we let them back into this game.

Unbelievable game - the Celtics lack of energy vs Knicks lack of skill.
Who wins this game?
Even the Knicks announcers are questionning adverse calls on Boston. That is how bad the officiating has become.
