If the losing trend continues, be prepared to say goodbye to Pierce and Rivers in a couple of weeks.
Pierce is not going to stick around and waste away the prime of his career if we cannot right this sinking ship soon. He's almost 30, and has been in this league 9 years now and you can be sure that Antoine is whispering in his ears about having to move on to a winning team if he wants a ring like the one he has on his finger.
In an attempt to revitalize the team, Doc will be let go and management will hope that a new blood will get this team back on track.
Every loss brings us closer to this scenario.

I think Doc will be let go way before they let Pierce go. In fact, I can see the scenario where Doc would be fired to keep Pierce in Boston and happy.

I'm with FL on this one. I see Doc moving on before too long, if things don't get on track. If any players are traded, I could see 2 or 3 young players swapped for a solid vet. I don't believe Pierce will be traded. At least not this season.

My feeling is that things are status quo - But obviously this is a critical week with 4 games that are all winnable. I think we have to go no worse than 2 and 2 just to show progress to the fans and bounce back from the very disappointing loss Saturday night.
Is Ainge formulating a replacement plan for Doc Rivers? His pattern of GMing is very disturbing if you think about it. Resign Blount and trade him in the 2nd year of his extension. Obie walked when Eric Williams and Tony Battie were traded for Ricky Davis. The drafting has been somewhat effective as Perkins and West have stuck. Jefferson will too provided his body lets him play. Trading Pierce is waving a white flag by Danny and that is a sure sign he does not want this job anymore. Then we have basically nothing to show for the rebuilding program and have to rely on future drafts to turnover the roster - yet again.

Billup's contract comes up after this year. And I doubt he'll resign with us unless we through around Max dollars at him.
Prince's a good defensive 3-man.
I dont' know. I don't trust these type of forum/internet rumors.

I don't either JHVOS. But if I see one I like to report it because you never know. But I have never yet seen one that actually happened.

If we are losing, Pierce may ask management to trade him to a team who's closing in on a championship.
I doubt that Joe Dumars gives up Chauncy Biillups. Hamilton and Teyshaun are excellent wing players, and its never a good idea to give up a cornerstone PG for a star wing player, especially when you have to who already do a good job.
If this is true, they are either very high on Will Blalock and think he can be Billups' replacement soon, or they will want Rajon or Telfair in the swap.

There is no way I would trade Pierce for Billups. Are you kidding we let Billups go and then we trade our best player Pierce ot get him back? Ainge would and should be shot if he makes that trade. Billups is not Steve Nash, and even if we were to get Nash, we don't have Marion or Amare.

I am beginning to think Pierce is on his last legs the way he played tonight. He played horribly down the stretch making all the critical mistakes in a game the Celtics outplayed the Magic for most of the game. Doc Rivers hasn't a clue out there. Pierce is a team player but Doc is not a team coach. Go back and check out the game notes I made tonight in the game thread.

I would have taken PP in fantasy 3rd or 4th. He covers the stat-sheet, as the season goes on.
I won the CPride league last year, in the most part due to PP.
Two sub-par games (for a star) won't make a season. Real life or fantasy.
