Telfair may just be teasing us. But some of his recent games have been quite impressive.
And freading the PBP here makes me think that Wally's leg is in pretty good shape. Sounds like he is doing a lot of moving. I'd sure like to see him start off at no more than 25 mpg. Surely Allen and West can eat up 23 mpg at that position.

Despite not having Pierce there definitely seems to be a number of positives. I like our rebounding. Jefferson, Gomes, and even Telfair were just crashing the boards. West and Allen did well also.
But how about the consistency of Toronto tonight. Without Bosh! Or Ford! I am impressed by their play during preseason as well.
EDIT: Oh yeah and Rondo was a bit of a disappointment and so was Gerald Green althought he only played 12 mins. Powe's rebounds and point were way down as well.

Well it was a nice game to watch. Rondo disapointed me tonight. This is the first game in which i can say that Telfair outplayed him. Telfair was awesome and so was Wally. Delonte had a good game but passed up some open shots. he needs to fire at will. I think he is still getting used to playing the two guard. Tony Allen played well and under control. He gave the ball to the point guard and filled the lane. Perk had a good game but he wasn't playing against a decent center like the night before when he made Nenad Kristic look like Shaq out there. He is still commiting stupid fouls but he protected the basket and rebounded well. Jefferson had a good game even though he didn't score a lot of points. He wasn't getting the ball. He did play very good defense again and he also stayed out of foul trouble. It looks like Clifford Ray is doing a good job with Al. His whole game looks more polished, he is recognizing the double team and making the right pass to the open man and also handing the ball to the cutters. He took a nice charge against Garbajosa and also blocked a couple of shots in the little time he was out there. So far i have been very impressed with Al in the past two games. I think he plays alot better at center. I enjoyed the game and can't wait to see the team play their first regular season game. I believe they are going to surprise a lot of teams because of how scrappy they are. The only one bad thing i have to say about last nights game is the team didn't run as much as the past few games.

Thanks for chipping in Beefy.
Our defense the last 2 games have been shaky. Against New Jersey, we stole a ton of passes and forced a boatload of turnovers. But when we didn't steal or force a turnover, we allowed the Nets to shoot 50%, meaning if we didn't take the ball away from them, they were pretty much scoring at will.
Against the Raptors, we didn't get many steals, and though we won the rebounding battle, we did allow more offensive rebounds than we should.
In the week long break before the season starts, the team will be well served to eat and breathe defense because it'll be what puts us beyond the .500 mark. We are a .500 if we play average defense because our offense is pretty good. But if we play solid defense, we can win in the upper 40's--I really believe this.

So far from what i seen in preseason, Telfair has been pretty consistent with the scoring while having some issues with turnovers other than that he's gonna be good player in this league. I don't see telfair or rondo being teasers. I agree with wally playing around 25-30 mins a game. West and Allen need to play. They're too good to play only 10 mins a game.
