i have to say that Al jefferson played very well at the center tonight. Perkins looked lost out there. he also commited a lot of stupid fouls. Once he came out of the game and jefferson came in it changed the game. Kristic looked like shaq against Perk but jefferson made him work on defense and scored a couple of baskets and kristic was a non factor atleast against jefferson. Plus Al was hustling and rebounded very well. He also blocked Kristic's shot twice. I wouldn't mind seeing the celtics go with a lineup like phoenix were they have Amare playing center and the matrix playing power forward. The celtics could do that with Jefferson and Gomes or Powe. I know it wont work all the time but there are only three real centers left in the NBA. Shaq, Yao and Ilgauskas. Everybody else plays with power forwards at the center position. As far as Perkins, lately he seems to be a liability out there, he can't score and he has looked bad on defense and he is not rebounding or blocking shots. he's been a foul machine. I hope he proves me wrong but i see him as a career second or third string center. His footwork is awful, he is not a quick leaper and he also doesn't have great hands or a soft touch. He is a turnover and foul machine out there plus a non factor on offense. I hope he turns it around and becomes that enforcer the celtics need but i just don't see it.

Yeah Perk needs to get his !!!GREENIAC!!! together. It is preseason though, and he has played much better in the past so I wouldn't give up on him at all.

Allen needs to stop being a ballhog. Tommy was really on him tonight. I never thought he was that kind of player. He showed some good things, but at the same time he looks like he's auditioning for another team out there. Great coming off picks but he wouldn't give the ball to the pg on the break a few times. He looks like he's trying to make the spectacular play every time.
Wally was great. Really got everyone involved early and lead by example..... As much as Wally get's overlooked he really showed his value to this team tonight. He was the leader and really stepped into that role with Pierce out.
Gomes is hitting that 18 foot jumper like nothing. When the C's couldn't find anythign Gomes kept bailing them out.
Rondo is Rondo. He is another Delonte West except quick, not the shooter, but just seems to go nonstop and fills up the stat sheet every night. Poe is the same type of player. Just a nonstop motor and almost energizer bunnyish. Tommy must be loving this team with some of the players we get to watch. Some of the stuff Rondo does makes me laugh. he is the type of player that will just drive the other team crazy with some of the stuff he does. I hope the luck doesn't wear off on Rondo because some of the shots I've seen go in for him are just amazing. He just seems to have a knack for that.
Green struggled with his shot but played well. He had his shot all game it just was off. Gerald impresses me though with his attitude and the way he plays. He had an off night and you could tell he was trying to do the right things. For a highschool kid he has a great attitude it looks like and with his talent that's going to go a long way.
Al played with a lot of hustle and his defense is getting better. I only saw Krstic get Al to bite on a fake once, and he was camped in the lane for like 9 minutes. He really hustled for rebounds tonight and was a major factor on the offensive boards for a good stretch. I'd still like to see Al get stronger, some of his shots he tries to finesse and comes up short sometimes still. He is coming along nicely though. Playing Al at Center appears to be a good experiment thus far.
Telfair had his best game of the preseason, and was really the best player for the C's tonight and showed why he should be the starting pg for the Celtics.
Poe and Perk were missing in action and were not involved at all.
West is becoming even better imo. He is just a solid all around player and looks like he is completely in control out there. It's very rare you see West not make the right play. If he can stay healthy he is going to be a very solid player for a long time. I just want to be on the floooo coach. Does Delonte have green eyes? They had an interview with him before the game and I swear his eyes are green. Just put Delonte at either guard and you have a player.

Wonder why Kandi didn't play tonight? Is he injured?
Once again, Cs kept the TOs down a little better.
AJ looked to have his best game.
Comparing Telfair's line with Kidd's---Telfair looked good. And really performed in clutch manner down the stretch.
Allen did a good job getting to the line.
"Looked" at the game on NBA.com. In the play by play, the elapsed time on some plays---rebound on defensive end to score at the other---some of th e scores looked to be made in incredibly quick fashion.

Thanks for all your game comments, those of you who were able to watch the game. Very nice to hear that Jefferson is coming alive. All I get to see are highlights and it doesn't give the entire vibe of the game. What is this about Green playing Center? Hope that never happens again. Gerald hasn't had a good preseason, but its good to remind ourselves that he is still making the big transition from being an individual scorer to a team scorer. It took time for Pierce to convert as well. We are looking like a versatile team. Its terrific to see how much steals we are getting.

I guess Powe didn't play cause Doc found out we all like him and think he could be good.
