I voted for Gomes. He has been playing very well through the summer league and in training camp. He has done more to prove himself than Al. Al is still receiving spotty minutes and hasn't proved that he is a starting caliber PF. That may come this season but he hasn't proved it yet. I love Powe. I believe that he is going to be a very good player. But he has 1 training camp game under his belt. He needs a bit more seasoning before we even talk about him getting regular minutes let alone starting.

I think the position will be by committee for 25-30 games.

I think it will be Gomes starting, and splitting minutes with Al almost evenly, with Scabs getting the garbage minutes. Powe will be in the DL.

Gomes is most likely going to be the starter. His ability to step out and hit 20 foot jumpers is helping us out.

I agree with fresh also. I admit Powe could do a lot of DL time just cause they can send him there. Plus Scabs can hit threes and play a little center. I don't know who I want to have a better year Scala or Kandi. There are pros and cons with each.

Will be interesting to see what kind of time Powe gets tonight. He should be getting a lot of minutes off the bench, and so far, when he's been on the court, he produced rebounds immediately. But Doc hasn't had the need to play him because Perk has been out of foul trouble.

One lineup I'd like to see if Gomes at the 3, Powe at 4 and Perk at the 5; we would have great hustle and toughness in each front court position.

Gomes, but Powe is intriguing me to no end. I just hope AL can still produce under the pressure.

Powe intrigues us because he is the unknown. He intrigues me too.

I just checked and I think it's odd but even though I think Al is playing much better I think Powe is beating him out right now. He may be playing against worst competition but his stats the last two games are much better. The man got 3 block and three steals while shooting 100% FG against the Knicks. I don't think one can really pin this one on Powe playing in college.

Powe gets his rebounds and points out of sheer grit, will, determination and effort. He works very hard every second he is on the court. I think that Al's emergence is partly due to pairing with Powe. That kind of effort and energy is catchy. Today's paper said that Doc is even putting in an end of game play for Powe and that is huge!
