What you need to win a title is quality big men. Even with small-ball teams like Phoenix and the Kings before them entertaining us, since Jordan retired Shaq has four rings, Duncan three and Big Ben one. You need to be able to defend the paint and rebound, and preferrably be able to draw double teams in the low post (the Pistons used the other Wallace for that). That's why with all my excitement over West and Green, my biggest hope is in the development of Jefferson and Perkins (especially now with Clifford Ray as our big man coach). It is also why I wouldn't mind going big in this draft, is a decent big man is available.

Right, Mev. Good of you to show us how top notch big men are the constants among the past champions. Even going back to the mid 90's, it was Houston with Hakeem Olajuwon.
I would be interested in drafting a good big. If Ainge thinks Sene or O'Bryant can pan out to be quality big men or better, go for them.
