I think the Knicks announcers spent more time talking about how terrible the knicks are and how dumb Gerald looks because of his headband than they did calling the game. Their statement that the crowd was so disinterested that they weren't even booing any more was classic!! Gerald is talking to Mike Gorman. He said that he is just trying to be aggressive and that they have been on him to take his shot and that is what he was doing.
Tommy says that the Celts are starting to come together with talent and chemistry and Doc loves his team and Larry Brown does not like his team.
Gomes gets the Tommy Award with 15 points and 13 rebounds.
We play very well against teams that don't play defense. Hopefully we can learn to beat the defense and stay aggressive when teams turn up the pressure on us.

Philly lost tonight to Detroit so we are just 3 games back of that 8th spot. The Chicago game on Saturday is going to be big.
We had 6 guys in double figures and Perk (12) and Gomes 913) with double figures in rebounds.

Second straight game where Perkins and Gomes combine for over 20 rebounds. Nice to see us becoming a strong team under the glass. Takes me back to the "golden 80s" when we could use our rebounding prowess to control the tempo of the game. I sure would like to see those two start side by side, along with West, Pierce and Wally, and have Raef be our sharp-shooter off the bench. It would allow Raef, IMO, to play with greater energy as he wouldn't feel the pressure of being available for the entire game.

The Celtics finally ran into a gimme situation last night and they took advantage and gained a game against faltering Philadelphia. Hopefully the Knicks will be shamed into taking it out on Philly. There is not a lot of time left in the season and we need a significant winning streak to gain confidence for next year.

What little I saw of the game was a totally unacceptable effort by the Bricks. The Knicks announcers were not enjoying themselves last night and I cannot fault them. Happy 61st birthday Clyde Frazier. He was a great player. I actually feel bad for those deeply loyal Knick fans who have to put up with that garbage (not those ESPN trolls of course).

Several thoughts about Perk: he seems to be settling into strong rebounding; he blocked 3 shots again, and is getting blocks regularly; he is shooting a hook shot, which can become hopefully a strong point.
Good to see Green hitting 4-5. Hope he doesn't change his headband. If it distracts the attention of the announcers, maybe it will the other team also

Good game overall, the knicks are abysmal. Kenny Smith was very complimentary of delonte. Smith was very impressed by delonte's high basketball IQ. Gomes had another strong game. I love Big AL, but gomes is light years ahead of him now. Happy to see Gerald Green get some extended playing time. This kid has a swagger about him, very confident player.
Negatives- Too many blown fastbreak opportunites. Tony allen must make better decisions on the break. 3 on 1'S, 4on 1's we must convert.
I'm glad PERK is starting to develop that little hookshot, but he must get more arc on it. Too many of those hooks hit the front rim. It's always good to send the knick fans home early.
go celtics!!!!!!
