Celts inbound on the side. West gets it inside to Perk who fakes twice and draws the foul. Perk front rims the first and hits the second. West pressing in the back court. Greene gets a steal. Al misses a layup and Pacers grab the rebound. Jackson misses a jumper and Harrison gets the rebound away from Al. Tinsley hits a 3. West splits the defense and hits a floater in the lane. West called for a reach in foul with 6.4. Gomes and Green in for Al and Perk. Pacers miss a jumper from the top of the key. Jackson puts it back up at the buzzer but misses. Score at the end of 1 Pacers 36 Boston 24 That means the Celtics outscored Indiana 79 to 52 over the last three qtrs. I did see most of the second half and almost all of the 4th qtr and it looked like the Celtics just wanted to win this game and turned up their intensity level and Indiana could match it. The Celtics got it going through good bench play today. I saw a lineup of Orien Greene, Tony Allen, Gerald Green, Al Jefferson, and Kendrick Perkins that beat Indiana early in the 4th qtr and Indiana lost their confidence down the stretch. Good to see we are 3 and 0 against these guys after game 7 of last year. Where is sprash now

Tony Brown has to go ASAP. Our D looks horrible. I find it hard to believe that we have beaten a well-coached team like Indy three times in a row. But, then again, we havent won three in a row. So our team isnt squat yet. The playoffs are out of reach. Time to see what GMoney can do. Bench Wally and Raef. Both of them suck, esp. defensively. Good to see TA getting back to form. Al needs to be rested.

Philly lost again today and that puts us 3.5 behind Philly for the 8th playoff spot. We finally take advantage of the Philly slide.

gomes not in double figures on rebounds, but still led the team.
Perk had 3 BSs in 16 minutes.'
Allen had 14 points in 10 minutes.
Kind of looks like the young bench played today like we were hoping it would all year.
I wouldn't change the starters; just increase the time of some of the kids.

The signs of resurgence in Allen are among the most encouraging things to h appen of late. A good showing by him about now will no doubt influence DAs drafting.
Does anyone know what the cap situation is going to be like for next year? I seem to remember that we'll get some relief from Baker's contract after this year. Not enough for a megacontract, but perhaps enough to sign someone more useful than Scalabrine.

Vin Baker's contract still counts against our cap for one more year. Our projected cap is $52 million, which won't allow us to get any free agents, except for the "mid-level" exception (average nba salary, approx $5 million this past year) or the "minimum" exception (a little over $1 million).

In one of Wyc's interviews with Ordway this year he said that the owners are willing to do what it takes to build a championship team including paying the luxury tax if that would help us to get a high quality player that would help us...
