I don't do manual labor. Have to get someone else to dig LOL.... I will supervise.
Very mad at my TV right now as DTV still has the post game blacked out so I can't see who won the Tommy award or the post game. I get so mad when they do that. Black it out right as the game starts... never give you a minute but then it sometimes takes 10 or 15 minutes after the game for them to lift the black out. GRRRRRRRRRRR I really, really wanted to see this post game too!!!

I saw the second half due to staying late at work and finishing up so I avoided coming in to work this weekend. It has been hectic for me there. Grabbed a 6 pack of Sammys and a pizza and went to work in the 3rd qtr.
The Celtics came out flat in the third qtr standing around and letting Peja bury us from 3. Not pretty as we fell behind by a dozen. The Celtics fought back behind the efforts of Raef on defense and the boards, Pierce, West and most notably Orien Greene defending Peja. Nice coaching by Doc there. The Celtics got a three point lead heading for the 4th when Pierce sat for his final rest. The Celtics played good defense and held a six point lead. Indiana came back behind Stephon Jackson and marginal refereeing calls. The referees were simply horrible and both coaches were clearly disgusted. Down the stretch it became a matter of the Celtics making there FT's. They were controlling the boards and not turning the ball over and it took Indiana execution just to give the Pacer's a chance. On the last the possestion with the C's up one, Orien Greene got the key rebound and tapped it to Pierce. The referees mistakenly called a foul on Orien when he got it to Pierce. Orien missed two shots and on the scramble the ball clearly went off Stephon Jackson's chin, but it was called Indiana's ball 4.6 sec left. Jackson's last shot was back-rimmed out and the Celtics preserved a well earned W tonight to keep hope alive.
Free Throws damn near cost us this game. That and the dumb !!!GREENIAC!!! zebras who were clearly incompetent tonight. Lucky for my wallet, I am not the Celtics coach, cause I was pissed all night.

I understand Perkins will be back in a week. We need his input. I have a feeling he will help us down the stretch.
Report out coming for games that affect us in the race for a lower rung EC spot.

Thanks Q! ! ! Hope Sammy was good for ya. Even if we don't make the playoffs, the wins are good for PP and the kids. For hope if nothing else.

One move I did not like was pulling Raef out with 3 minutes left and sticking one knee Zerby in there. I thought we lost a lot of defense and rebounding capability but thank god it did not cost us the game.

Another great game and win by the C's tonight. There were a few obvious negatives in there (not much fire in the first half, free-throw shooting), but the positives outweighed the negatives and we hung in with a W.
Yet another great offensive game by Pierce.
Wally still is not comfortable with his knee & shot but helped doing some little things out there.
Great effort by Gomes, rebounding, layups, hustle.
Great effort by O Greene tonight particularly on the defensive end. Came up with 2 key steals late in the game.
Delonte continuing his all-around impressive play. I love this kid. I hope he retires a Celtic. (see the avatar)
Raef played strong. double-double with 11 boards. 7 assists also!
Even Scal played decent and had a nice 5 minute stretch where he got an O rebound in traffic and muscled it in.
We are now a TEAM, instead of a combination of individual players. We play together, and with passion. Celtic basketball.
Great win. We need to carry it into the Toronto game on Sunday.
btw, Florida, Pierce won the Tommy Award, especially because Pierce made a key 3 late in the game, called glass and banked it, so said Tommy.

I am beginning to like Oriene Green a lot more. Al J plays well per minute, but what he does doesn't justify taking Gomes' spot yet, and even if it did they should both get minutes. Raef is starting to look better just by the fact that he is filling in for Perk and they are still winning. It makes it look like he's not a cancer. He had a nice block.

Good wrap Esco and Q. I like Greene and have since the beginning of the year. Given playing time and experience, he is going to be a good PG. He is another hard working tough kid.
Raef played great last night... 11 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists. he really played hard on both ends of the court. He has always played hard for us and I think the rap on him has been the contract.
I agree that putting Wally in at the end was dumb. He is so hampered by that knee that his defense has been a step slow and his jumper is flat. Raef played great all game. Keep him in.
Thanks for the Tommy Award Esco. I was on the phone with DTV and they told me it is FSNE not them that blacks it out. They didn't lift the black out for almost 50 minutes last night and I have been calling and writing to everyone I can think of to complain!!!
Now to win another on the road. Should be able to beat the Raps... We are due some payback in Washington as well.

Nice to have one bounce our way, and I agree about Orien -- I've liked him since pre-season. Give him time, and he will be a solid PG.
If we win vs Toronto, we are within 4 games of 8th place Milwaukee.
Also, Philly gave one away today. With 4.9 seconds remaining and up by 1 vs Indiana, they fail to cover S. Jackson who makes an uncontested layup. Webber's buzzer-beater misses, and Indy wins. We will be within 5 of the 7th seed if we win tonight, and neither Philly nor Milwaukee is a lock for keeping ahead of us.

I see your point Mev, and you are absolutely right. This is the exact kind of game the Celtics tend to lose (on some strange call by Doc.)
