It’s a little over four hours until the trade deadline. Do you guys (gals) think Danny will make any moves at all?
I’m leaning toward none at all. If he does make a trade, it may be a very minor trade that helps clear up a few dollars (dumping one player for a pick, or expiring contract). But more than likely Danny will stand pat. He already made the Wally trade. I think he will just wait and see what he has, and see what develops with the young guys for the second half of the season.
But remember, this is Danny we are talking about so anything us possible.

i hope lolofodododosovofofosovofgofdoghookandi will get traded for somebody decent. lol. I'm assuming you mean Olowokandi. I think Danny may hang onto him for insurance. He's a big guy backup. If something better comes along, maybe, but I just do not see any team banging down the Celts front office door to get him, unless Danny would be willing to part with him for a second round pick. Also, I think that there will be 1-2 trades consummated around the league right before the deadline that will be "surprise trades". It is really quiet.

Two hours till deadline..... No trades or even rumors yet. I expect either none or a minor trade but as you said... this is Danny and who knows. One thing I am pretty sure of is that Pierce, Perk, West, Al, and Wally aren't going anywhere. But...... this is Danny and who knows LOL I have WEEI on and NBA TV just waiting for the deadline.... I have NBA TV muted so I can watch the ticker on the bottom and looked up to see a big graphic of Gomes.... My heart sank and all I could think of was NOOOOOOOOO!! But it was a fantasy BBall show and not a trade.... Whew!!!!

Half hour after the deadline and still no Celtics trades and Hornets traded Nachbar for Jackson and so doubt anything will go down in that direction.
Maybe Danny is tied up somewhere. Trader Danny has never missed a trade deadline without doing something..... But I like what we have and see it coming together.... Still if we could get a good young player for Kandi or Scal that would be a plus.....
I really need to get a life... I sat here watching NBA TV and listening to WEEI all day for nothing....

Well....the Celts didn't make any moves before the trade deadline. Can't say I'm really disappointed. I only expected maybe a minor deal, if any.
I am glad Danny didn't make any moves and stood pat. We need to develop these young guys and just let them play already. I was actually shocked Gerald $ got that much playing time against the Suns. He may see more PT. I actually think that this was the first time that Danny didn't make a deadline deal. (Atkins, Walker)
Kudos to Danny on his patience.

In a sense, I'm kind of happy that he didn't make any moves. After seeing how effective Gerald Green was off the bench against the Suns, if we get all our injured players back, we could actually be pretty dangerous. It's all contingent on how consistent the kids are. With more consistency, I think it's safe to say that they are ready to handle the rigors of playing in the NBA. The only way that they are going to gain that consistency is by receiving playing time. Acquiring a Derek Anderson or a Brevin Knight wouldn't be of much help.

Best move right now is to make no moves.
Just keep adding players and let the roster gell.

Yeah, Id rather just see how are youngns do the rest of the year rather than rock the team with another trade. The only trade Id been up for is one involving Kandi going somewhere for a 2nd rounder + other expiring contract. But I doubt he was on any teams radar.
