Gallant effort by the Celtics. Seemed like the game could have went either way. Perhaps a '3' to go for us?

Sums up my feelings. ANOTHER close loss. Especially at home, we need to find a way of winning these games. I actually had my hopes up that if we pulled this out and Philly lost tonight to the Spurs and tomorrow at Chicago, we would be within 3 of the final playoff spot. Instead we lose, Philly finds a way to beat the Spurs, and we are 5 1/2 back, and could be as far as 6 back if Philly wins tomorrow. Scal going 1-5 with a Blount-like ZERO boards in 35 minutes, and Wally's 1-6 start to the game hurt us. We need guys to play well together as a team and not just ride one or two people on any given night. Nice effort by West and Gomes, and awesome game by Pierce. But, as usual, to no avail.

We need guys to play well together as a team and not just ride one or two people on any given night. Nice effort by West and Gomes, and awesome game by Pierce. But, as usual, to no avail. I look at how short handed we are... Perk and Al out.. Pierce hurting with elbow and ankle problems.... Wally clearly hurting with no lift on his jumper... and we stay with Cleveland to 2 OTs in a game that could have gone either way. This isn't like the other games where at full strength we simply blew it. They played with heart tonight and against the odds came up just short. I am hoping that when Al and Perk come back we will see Gomes get most if not all of Scal's minutes. He does us more harm than good when he is out there. He thinks he is a 3 point shooter and he isn't. If he would be inside banging for boards and blocks he would be more help than hanging around on the arc hoping for a 3 pointer. I still am very encouraged by our play in the past 3 games.

Tough loss, but would have rather had that then a 20 point blowout. Like Heinsohn said, this team has some guts, and I agree.
King Lebron gets pampered too much. Pierce took him to school, but he took everyone on the Celtics to school as well.
This game was in the bag if we would have had either one of Perk or Big Al. Got killed on the boards, and STILL almost won. Pierce and the bunch still have lots of confidence. I have a good feeling once Perk and Big Al return. I think we will make a little run.

I had fun with the game last night. I thought the Celtics came up short in the refereeing department. Really all they needed was one more 3 point FG by Wally or Raef. I guess Wally, Raef, and West need to pick up the scoring load.
I cannot figure out why Tony Allen can't get it going with this ball club.

My hope(?) is that Allen's injury is holding him back, and that we'll basically have to chalk this season up as a loss for Tony. Every quote Ive seeen from him he mentions how he has no mobility or lift.
