A tale of two teams going in opposite directions. The Clippers seek revenge for that New Years Eve loss. That was Boston's only win in a five game road trip.
We are definitely going to lose this game as the Clippers have everything to play for and we are simply trying to get ready for next year at this point.
I think Danny Ainge is working on another trade and this time it may be the really big one coming down. He says that he wants to keep Pierce but I am not buying into any of that crap. In fact, I am beginning to wonder if giving up on Antione Walker is worth all this. Heck, with Antione Walker, at least you always made the playoffs and were a decent 2nd tier team.
What exactly is Danny Ainge's vision?
Is Doc Rivers having any regrets taking this job?
Does Pierce really want to stay in Boston?
Can Perkins, Jefferson, Tony Allen, Wally Z, and West lead us out of this sewer hole?
Is Raef gonna amount to anything but an overpaid journeyman big man?
Where is the energy, the passion, and the emotion?
Where is the leadership going to come from?
Will Scalabrine or Szerbiak please score a basket?
I'm thoroughly confused about what is going on in Boston.
See you in here tonight, Greeniacs!
Over to you Derran, C17, and Flcelt

What exactly is Danny Ainge's vision?
Build the team through the draft by acquiring young and athletic basketball players (and not just athletes), make trades to bring in better players, and sign key free agents to fill specific needs.
Does Pierce really want to stay in Boston?
No, I doubt it. He'll see greener pastures elsewhere and will probably ask to be moved again this summer. I'd think that Golden State, who is on the verge of being a pretty good team, would want to trade for Pierce to unite him with Baron Davis. They have either Jason Richardson and Mikael Pietrus to dangle back at us--but if I'm Ainge, I'd squeeze Ike Diogu out of them.
Can Perkins, Jefferson, Tony Allen, Wally Z, and West lead us out of this sewer hole?
Not right now, and not by themselves. Once their development is completed, we'll see a clearer picture of what we have with these guys.
Where is the energy, the passion, and the emotion?
You don't see it much when the team is 10 games under .500. But ironically, the younger players show more energy, passion, and emotion than the older guys.
Where is the leadership going to come from?
I feel that it will come from a collection of players. Delonte and Perk will be the stoic leaders who lead by example, and Jefferson will be the emotional leader.
Will Scalabrine or Szerbiak please score a basket?
This is Doc's fault. They aren't good at scoring one on one. Doc needs to call plays for them to get them open. Both guys can hit open shots (Wally is certainly better at it than Scal), but they need to get open.
I'm thoroughly confused about what is going on in Boston.
Which will make it that much sweeter when we are rewarded for our perserverance. Slowly, but surely, Ainge has been getting rid of the problems in Boston. If you look at the team now, there are no bad attitude players and there are no "me first" guys anymore. Wally, Raef, and Pierce now are the only guys who have been in this league for more than 5 years. This is a really young team and we need a lot of developing. But the talent and attitude is there. We just need to wait.

I dont like the macthup. Brand idsa load down load which could lead to serious foul problems for whomever is guarding him. I would assume it would be perk. Cuttino mobley is a celtic killer. Sam cassell usually has god games against us as well. If the clippers are on top of their game i see another loss.

I have confidence in Perk and Jefferson--they may be able to keep Brand in check. If not, we always have Brian Scalabrine to shut him down!!! ;D
Yep, Cassel is hard to contain because he's such a crafty player.
I have a good feeling about this game, though. Strangely optimistic. Looking forward to game time (T-minus 20 minutes).

Perk, West, Raef, PP and Wally are starting tonight. Waltah is in the house!! Chris Kaman is one of the ugliest players in the league. Perk gets the tip and taps it out to West. Mobly gets a piece of Raef's first shot. Clippers come back with it and PP called for a foul. 20 sec time out called as PP seems to be hurting. He seems to be ok and will stay in the game. Brand makes both FTs.

Q's 1st update: Clippers 22, Celtics 15 3:23 1st Q
The Celtics are shooting very poorly but Perkins is absolutely kicking butt out there with an almost double double qtr.
I like the way the C's are approaching this, though.

Woohoo. Clippers lead is only 26 -25 as they looked at that last bucket and saw it wasn't in time.
