I'll be surprised if Queta becomes anything more than a 5th Big. He is a serviceable back-up at best but he just doesn't have the mobility. Good insurance big. Nothing more

There you go, Peterson!!! Just like Howzah! That's your path to an NBA career.

Hey, if Peterson is going to show up, at least it was now.
It doesn't change my opinion that he isn't more than a G Leaguer.

I think Watson needs more touches and plays ran for him.

I think I'm higher on Queta than you two, but I'd be shocked if he's ever in a team's playoff rotation. That said, I think he's important to this team if they ever meet Philly in the playoffs. He's got the bulk to not get demolished by Embiid in the paint.

I like Q as a 7 footer who can station himself in front of the rim and collect loose balls (where he'll then fumble it away or get fouled). Oh, and thrown down lobs. Other than that I cringe and sigh when he's on the court.

I agree, Derren.
He is definitely not a one-dimensional player. He can rebound, play D, hustles, he is big, decent footwork and postgame. He just looks, well, old. Like he would be amazing in the 90s or before.
In today's game his game says backup center, maybe 20 mins here and there.
Which brings me to another point. He is already 25 and still playing 2-way. Not good. He should've made the leap by now.
There's nothing wrong with any of this either. I think he is an NBA ready bench role player. His game is down low but that just doesn't translate in today's game where 7 footers are like Embiid, Joker, and even our own KP where they are outside threats in a 3 is worth more than 2 system.

I thought Bronny was one of the worst players on the court. Did nothing. Had nothing. If I were picking between him, Caitlin Clark, and Angel Reese to be on my NBA team I'd pick him third. I was embarrassed for everyone involved. At least he's only 19 and largely missed last year.

Athletically, Bronny can play in the NBA. He's got some ball skills. But he clanks his shots and it doesn't look like he has good instincts.

Is Queta worse than Perk? Or is he just playing in a different era?
To me, Queta always looks gawky, slow, and somewhat uncoordinated out there, but at the same time, every time he's out there he has good results. I think our backup big situation is going to depend on who the opposition is. Against tall, beefy guys like Embiid or Jokic, Luke is going to struggle to hold his ground and Tillman is going to be too short. I could see Queta being useful there if KP and Al are out.
