Trust the Process was their model years ago that was supposed to turn that franchise from the lottery to championships. They've had countless high draft picks to get it right, but it's been mostly misses, and they haven't been able to get out of the 2nd round of the playoffs yet.
They've drafted Nerlens Noel, Jahlil Okafor, Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, Markelle Fultz, and Tyrese Maxey with those high picks. So far only Embiid and Maxey have panned out (Nerlens is out of the league, Okafor is playing in China, Ben Simmons can't get on the court, and Fultz is trying to find his game in ORL).
Jaylen and Tatum were sitting right there at Philly's doorstep waiting to be picked on draft day. They had both Al Horford and Jrue Holiday on the team at one point, and got rid of them. That's 4/5 of our championship starting lineup they could have had!
They had Jimmy Butler. They had James Harden. But somehow Tobias Harris is the one still left standing.
