That Hartenstein deal blows my mind. What am I missing? Why when centers are signing relatively cheap deals, does that dude get a 3 year 87 million dollar deal? The money being thrown around is getting ridiculous. Role players are getting near $30M!

It's Lebron's world over in LA. He gets whatever he wants.
His son, Bronny James, a second round pick, just signed a 4 year deal.

Brawny signed a guaranteed rookie contract worth four-years $7.9 million deal. Includes a club option for the fourth year. It is very rare for a team to hand out multiyear deals like this for a really really late 2nd round pick. Typically, contracts for second-round draft picks aren't guaranteed. Some additional context: Two-way contracts pay half the value of a rookie minimum salary ($559,782), with players able to guarantee up to half of that figure ($279,891) if they end up earning a roster spot during the regular season. Lakers will commit 3 seasons to his development with the potential for a fourth and beyond. I, for one, am looking forward to players and teams going out of their way to cook Brawny. Daddy Brawny also signed a two-year max contract with the Lakers. 2 years $104 mil no trade clause player option 2nd year. Meaning he plans on staying to help develop Brawny. Obviously taking him to the end of his career where he can decide season by season after that. I'm personally hoping he retires ASAP.

I'm beginning to hate the NBA similar to hating the NFL. It's just such a chore. They've really done a number on this sport in the past 20 years. First there was the Leflopping. Then there was the travelling. Now there's the three pointer.
I guess to encourage going to the hoop I'd do the following
Reduce fouls from 6 to 5 like in college. Get guys in foul trouble.
Reduce offensive fouls. Largely get rid of the charge by allowing offensive players to operate freely. A move should have to be like...coining a phrase here....overtly and neglectfully offensive...in order to draw a charge.
No more rewarding flopping of any kind. In fact.....punish it severely. Create a rule called the wimp rule. Call it effeminate defense. If you're a big man and tiny little Chris Paul has somehow knocked you over then you deserve it.
Allow very limited push offs.
The game needs to become like 700% more violent because it has become so incredibly sissified.
