I thought they should have made the finals more about Walton. Like more demonstrative tie die shirts and Grateful Dead music at every time out and warmups.
They should have had video and audio of him in warm ups and frequently praising Boston and talking about how good Boston treats you and how awesome the fans are and how they saved him. A serious FU to Kyrie at the same time as a message to our own guys.

Like for real. I also didn't think there was enough accolades for the guy. It's really weird that he seems to always be left out or forgotten or even dismissed. They forget Walton was a monster back in the day. Even Bird and McHale were in awe and thought he was Legendary. Now, people dont think he should be NBA top 75. Walton got hurt playing loads of regular and post season minutes leaving it all out there. Some say that first title in 77 was where the beginning of the end started with Waltons foot injuries becuz he played to hard and willed the Blazers to the W.

Only guy in history with an MVP, Finals MVP, 6th man of the year. But we can add three college players of the year to the list, and basically wasn't allowed to play as a freshman. At worst he's Yao Ming with a lot more rings and awards.

It's a shame there isnt more footage of him from his days in Portland. I'd love to see a highlight comp of all his games in Portland before his feet totally went to !!!GREENIAC!!!.

Not sure we would have won without [HASH]5 or Schistng. Do the LOSCY and Cowens [HASH]18 trick.

Here's another video, this one featuring him in the 1977 playoffs - the year they won. www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJtVEnTS0RoHe could do it all. Jump shot, jump hook, great passer, great rebounder, great shot blocker. Definitely a top 5 all-time center if he had been healthy. Maybe [HASH]1. I remember him shooting 21-22 in the NCAA title game. And (weird fact) I happened to be in Portland the night they won the championship. I read and listened to a lot about him after his passing, and the thing I didn't know was how great a guy he was. A real "would give the shirt off his back" person.
