Washington takes Johnny Davis out of Wisconsin.
I like this because he's a safe pick. Not flashy, not explosive, but a solid and smart offensive player. Sometimes when you are a team that's been spinning your wheels for too long, you just gotta make smart picks and wait for opportunities to come. Johnny Davis is smart and safe pick.

Orlando taking Banchero gives them a good frontcourt. Wendell Carter Jr. is their defensive anchor, letting Banchero be that offensive workhorse. And with Franz Wagner at the 3, the have good size and production at the 3, 4 and 5. Yeah, and with Cole Anthony and Fultz they have some backcourt guys that can play a little bit too I'm very low on Cole Anthony, and without knowing if Markelle has gotten rid of the yips, I don't know if I'm positive with ORL's backcourt. But they're clawing their way out of mediocrity. |

They also have Jalen Suggs and a slowly improving RJ Hampton Suggs I'm a fan of. He didn't show much as a rookie, but I'm still high on him. RJ Hampton was being looked at as our potential pick last year. I liked him then, but I'm wondering if he's more hype than substance. |

Ousmane Dieng gets drafted by NY. And then he's traded to OKC.
OKC drafted Holmgren and now acquire Ousmane Dieng. Looks like they're targeting height, length and versatility.

OKC picks Jalen Williams with the 12th. He was a fast riser in recent weeks. We'll see. He's a solid player, capable of doing lots of things, but I'm not high on him. Reminds me of Jarret Culver too much -- I guy I thought would have had success, but did not pan out thus far.

But then again, maybe Brad deep down is more conniving. |
