Did we just rope-a-dope the Bucks?
They had this game all the way till a few minutes in the 4th. They thought they had us. And then Horford and Tatum glance at each other and said, "Let's rock".

Ime seems to be a better coach than I thought.
If I were the Celtics I would be making a lot of plans to simply do everything I could to extend Horford's career and aim for health for him and Rob Will in the playoffs, and a huge part of that plan would be extensive minutes restrictions.
Al is playing like a young man. We need that during the playoffs. We need peak Rob Will during the playoffs. We have to build depth behind them. I would give tons of minutes to Grant Williams.

That is the EXACT phrase i had in my head. ESPECIALLY when you look at Giannis. It must take a ton of energy for Giannis to run into guys all game long.

Just read a Bucks' fan sight, and they're blasting their team. Calling them the dumbest team to ever win a championship, and how Jrue is a terrible PG, and so on.

Get Horford in a hyperbaric chamber, and keep him in there till Wednesday.

Great win. This Celtics team has a mental toughness that previous recent Celtics teams, even ones that went to the ECF, did not have. To come from 7 down, in the 4th qtr, on the road, in a game where the Celtics were getting mugged and the Bucks weren't getting called for it, is pretty impressive.
I've never seen so many Celtics players get hit in the face in one series. And most of them aren't being called.
My love/hate affair with Smart continues. I love him in the post, and we can only hope that Ime calls for more of what we saw in the 4th quarter for the rest of the series. He was huge scoring in the paint down the stretch. On the other hand, he had at least 3 TERRIBLE passes for turnovers.
Tatum woke up just in time. For most of the first half I thought he was still playing tentative. If he plays like he did in the second half for the rest of the series, we will win.
Big Al gets the game ball. Every time we needed a hoop he got one.

I think the refs more than make up for Middleton's absence.

When you look at the boxscore on this game the numbers are a tad strange. This is one of the most unique playoff series I've ever seen

Well, Middleton's absence certainly helps us, but Smart and RWill have both missed games too.
You know what angle hasn't really even been mentioned? Al Horford has never won a ring in the NBA, and he has to be aware that the clock is ticking. He was REALLY up for this game and it showed.

So great to see Al come alive in the 4th. If Al's playing that well this a Middleton-less Bucks team cannot hang with us in a seven game series.
The championship is there's for the taking. Besides Golden State, no team really scares me this year. And I still think Boston would be right there with GS in a seven game series. Next year could be different. Milwaukee gets Middleton back, LAC gets Leonard back, some of those lotto picks in GS could blossom, the Nets may figure it out, etc. There is no monolith team this year. Now's the time for the C's to make a push to the finals.

Al won the game win this dunk Portis had a similar elbow on Rob in Game 3...no technical was called.
