It definately helps when RJ Barrett is bricking and Fournier is not in there for sure too. But lets see if we can keep this lead this time. How we are playing isn't great but I like how we are playing. We are at least trying.

Knicks playing very sloppy and bricking things. Thibs cant be happy but good to see we're taking advantage of it when we're in transition.

Seeing Tatum take shots 3-5 feet from the basket with little floaters instead of jacking up 3s makes me way happier. I don't care if he misses but at least he is using his strengths. Buddy you ain't Klay Thompson, so bully your way down the paint.

We are giving Barrett too many easy shots now and not guarding him. Still guard him please.

Commentators are right. The Cs ..they way they are playing to get the lead with ball movement and player movement...they're just as confused as to why they can't do this every game??? Its such basic fundamentals.

It's crazy how dead the td garden is. We are going to need the crowd in the 4th.

And here we go. The knicks look cooked but gotta keep playing for 48 this game. If they blow this game I will just shake my head. They are wearing them out slowly. I want to see the celtics do this but play faster and with more energy.

The way the nba is now it shouldn't even be an afterthought. But these teams fool you into thinking they give up and the celtics play into that. It's the state of the nba. It's not cool to play good. Teams literally do give up and then start hitting shots bceause the other team doesn't want to rub it in. They they turn it up into god mode. Stop being fooled.

The knicks literally threw in the towel there for a few minutes and the celtics stopped playing and the knicks come back and hit a few shots in a row.

Kanter does not guard anyone. He really can't step out on those shots? It will hurt his rebounding numbers or something? I like it when he plays with hustle. He seriously guards no one. And he does it purposely. Enes Freedom to take any shot you like......
It's not a talent thing with him. He literally stands there and refuses to guard so he can have a chance at a rebound.

My God. These players are not too bright sometimes. The fact Schroder was the only guy hustling there. And two it would have been an over and back. Scal has it wrong because the entire team should have hustled for the loose ball. ANd Schroder ended up looking like a moron.

I hate the way we are playing right now although the game is over and 3's are raining in. The way we are playing sucks though. It's the modern NBA and these players are so used to playing this way. The entire game is broken because of politics. They are programmed to play a certain way.
It's like pick up basketball. The Knicks are not even playing anymore. And we are just shooting 3's that happen to be going in. The game is literally broken because they don't care.
The modern nba would get completely squashed by teams from the 80's and 90's.

We ended it a bit better. Nice selfless plays by Jaylen getting to the basket for the finish.

I like Ime because he's pretty no nonsense and comes from a system that understands defense too. The media and nba coverage after the game bugs me. Their exact words were "the defense will be fine" but if you can score like that. The defense will not be fine. Defense and rebounding takes work and fundamentals and people forget to play it because they love scoring. It's a problem with the media and modern nba how it has trended in general. It starts on the defensive end and with our energy. Udoka on the other hand during the entire press conference talked about defense and rebounding.
We basically have to attack on both ends of the floor and play unselfish and get good shots. Without defense and when players get caught out of position is when we run into problems.
The media stinks. We lose a few and suddenly everyone wants to fire Udoka and trade everyone and it's because they are what I'm saying they are. Players end up the same way. The sky is not falling. It's just in their minds. And they are that shallow. Anything for a buck or to pander to the lowest common denominator which is their own stupidity.
The truth hurts. I've heard it too and the bullying that goes on and people assume about me. It's ridiculous. People put up their own walls.
The reason we play the way we do is because the vast majority of people in this world are not that bright. The answer to that question is like looking in the mirror for some people. People love scoring and offense and highlight plays but in order to make that stuff happen and to win as a team, you need to play well as a team and that takes work.
Stats are basically meaningless that way. It's how you get those stats that matters. Enes Freedom for example would be a lot more valuable actually playing defense and getting fewer rebounds if they are hard fought for rebounds. Vs not playing defense and upping his rebound numbers.
The amount of 3's we take is also meaningless if we are getting inside and they are within the flow of the game. I took a good amount of 3's and hit 40 percent for example in my 2k game but i was also forcing the ball inside and getting a ton of shots because of my defense.
Defense and rebounding takes a conscious effort just like scoring does. This team needs to come out with energy on defense and an attack mentality every game.
