If the Celtics are around 20 games below .500 at the All-star break, I expect Ainge to be on the phone taking best offers for Pierce. And I fully expect to receive mostly expiring contracts in order to prepare for a full extent rebuilding process.
Right now it's too early to tell if Pierce will be traded. It really doesn't take much to get onto a hot streak and right it doesn't look like it's going to happen anytime soon.
I voted he'll be traded at the trading deadline because I don't think he's going to feel the sameway about staying with this team like he does now and management arne't going to get as much of an offer that all of us hope we'll end up receiving.

Then again with teammates like West, Jeff, Perk, Pierce will want to stay and try to be a team player. Games like this Minnesota game can turn a program around.

But with Gerald and Tony Allen (plus Ryan Gomes), we may not need Pierce, and could use his value to get us an impact Center.

the only impact center in the league is duncan and you know how tradeable he is.
