Celts inbound. Ricky fires from the middle of the lane with the shot clock at 2 and it goes in and out. Hawks rebound. (WHY IS VEAL STILL IN? ??) The Hawks announcers are saying that since Ricky is 6 of 19 their best play is to let Ricky shoot the ball. Hawks inbound. Layin is no good and west rebounds. Veal hits a reverse layin quickly a the other end. Williams misses and West rebounds. Davis buries a 3. (Take that Hawks announcers!!!!). Williams inside and Veal takes the charge. Pierce flips it up and it rolls off the rim. hawks come down with it. No look pass to Childress for a jam.

I was sorta close on my RD numbers... Nice to see a win.
Work keeps me away from here and the games too much. Thanks for the coverage!

At the half and for most of the 3rd quarter, I didn't expect to win this game. I just thought our energy level and focus was off the mark. But the Hawks let us stay in the game, and we made a run that scared them into playing timidly. We pulled out a win, but its actually disappointing if you think about it. I mean, just the night before, we almost pulled off an upset, by almost beating the Mavs (who are just a game behind the Spurs in the standings). We played terrific, if not, nearly perfect basketball with tons of energy, focus, and excitement. But then we face the lowly Hawks, who already has beaten us twice this year, and we still barely won the game, having to make a big comeback from 16 pts down.
Delonte is quickly becoming the rock of the team. He's so solid and accountable and he's never fazed. His shot was a bit off tonight, but as always, he played hard and determined.

A win is a win, but I'm not sure why Doc forgot about Al after he picked up his second foul. Then again, not sure why I'm surprised.

A win is a win, but I'm not sure why Doc forgot about Al after he picked up his second foul. Then again, not sure why I'm surprised. Al was a step behind just as he was in the Mavs game. He just didn't look like he was with it. Maybe he isn't feeling well or maybe just tired after 5 games in 7 nights but he wasn't getting it done. One play in particular just before Doc took him out, He pulled a Blount and stood flat footed and watched the Hawks swoop past for the rebound. Very un-Al like!!!

I was not feeling well last night - so I stayed on the coach and fell asleep at the half. I don't remember if I posted here. Then I came to at the end of the 3rd qtr and surprisingly found the Celtics competing. Scalabrine came in the 4th qtr and did a good job except for that alley-oop attempt to RD. He did the right things and hats off to Blount for stepping in and taking a charge, plus a nice rebound in traffic.
Celtics continue to do their job competing. They just need to find ways to win. Last night was a good start. Going to Philadelphia and winning there Friday would make me happy. At this point, I have given up on Doc setting a rotation. He will just go with players he feels are doing a good job.
Ainge will pull the rug out from under Doc and trade Pierce after a 5 game winning streak. (Just like he did to O'Brien by trading Battie and Eric Williams for RD).

Well, Esco, don't take this the wrong way, but don't ever watch another Celtics game in your life ever again. You are the reason why we suck ;D
