What a game, what a comeback, what a team!! Down by as many as 19, to look as bad as we did in the 1st half, and then to do a 180 and and win by 11 by completely shutting them down defensively, and finding our groove on offensively — wow! This team, especially the heart of Marcus Smart on defense, and Kemba-Hayward on offense, has a chance to erase all the bad memories from last year.

Wow! What a turnaround! By halftime I found myself wondering how good this Celtics team really is. The Bucks seemed to be getting wide open shots, and we were struggling to find anyone open for anything. Gordon looked like he did for most of last year - passive. Tatum and Kemba were out of synch and no one else was doing much except for some 3s by Smart. I was thinking that we might be stuck being a good team that wasn't good enough to play with the big boys - a team that was maybe able win one round in the playoffs and that would be it. And in the NBA it's sometimes hard to get out of that zone, because you don't get any more high draft picks unless you get really lucky. Anyway, I was pretty down about our prospects.
Then the guys ate their spinach, or Brad lit a fire, or maybe Marcus Smart just lifted everyone's energy level. Suddenly Kemba, Jayson and Gordon looked like All-Stars, Semi did a great job on Giannis, Theis and Williams were active, Grant W made some hustle plays and we win going away.
Big win for an early season game, not just because it was the Bucks, but because maybe it showed the guys what they can do when they play aggressively.
btw, if you didn't get to see the game, Paul Pierce was sitting in the front row with Wyc and leading the cheers.

Nice win! Love seeing Hayward being aggressive on offense. if we get our center spot figured out this team will go places.

It wasn’t that we were playing lackluster in the first half of the game — but against a team like the Bucks, our guys learned that we need to full throttle the energy level.
In the second half, we outrebounded them and put the pressure on them, and never looked back.
