This game isn't the only weird game tonight. DeMar DeRozen is well into the 3rd quarter of his game and Mike Conley is deep into the 2nd quarter of his game. Between the two of them they have 2 points

This has been a terrible performance. The shooting from both the field and free throw line are down right pathetic. Not to mention that the refs have been terrible too for both teams. They haven't allowed either team to get into a rhythm because of all of the foul calls. This game reminds me of a classic Joey Crawford officiated game in where he always thought the fans paid good money to watch him call fouls.

This game is on Brad Stevens. Tatum is not a center. Positionless basketball is a failure.

I wonder what the analytics say about what happens when you just shoot a ton of threes against a team with a center who's 7ft 3. I have to wonder whether Tacko could have helped in this game seeing as how nothing resembling interior defense emerged. Shoulda just given Ben Simmons a nice invitation into the paint. He's not a very smart player but eventually he figured it out.

We may not be a great rebounding team, but being out-rebounded 62 to 41 is an embarrasment. Would also help if Kemba could make some shots.
Philly is bigger than most teams but if this game is any indication we really do not have much of an interior presence at all.

Given that Kemba shot 4-18, we missed 14 FTs, and were outrebounded by 21, it's kind of amazing that we only lost by 14.
Overall, until those back to back 3s in the 4th by Philly, we were in it in spite of all that, so I'm not too upset.
RWill showed me he may contribute more than I thought this year.

I found positives in this game that’ll help me sleep tonight. Aside from an early bout of good play, for most of the game we seemed to be out of rhythm. If we know anything about Brad’s teams, they do extrememly well when the ball is moving and players know what to do with the ball. Seemed like we clammed up and choked the flow of the game.
We know Kemba is way better than this.
Jaylen will contribute more.

jmost mentioned Philly's lack of depth, but our bench looked pretty bad out there. I'm confident, with time, some of the rookies will do more (Edwards, GWill) and at least RWill looked good out there.
Ojeleye might as well sit down when we have the ball on the offensive end.
On the road, against the "favorites", and I think we held our own considering what the others mentioned (Kemba shooting, weird foul trouble, poor FT%).

This is just me but on that Embiid play Embiid ended up bleeding and Jaylen picked up his 5th foul. Embiid is so much bigger and stronger than Jaylen and Jaylen just signed that huge contract. I'd just hold out Jalyen the rest of the night

I don't understand why Brad didn't challenge that fifth foul on Jaylen.....Embid was in the restricted circle, no way that is an offensive foul!

Welcome, fan56. I wondered the same thing regarding Embiid being in the circle.

Even though it was garbage time, I was glad to see Carson finally hit a 3 at the end He was unusually reluctant to shoot earlier in the game. A guy like him needs to let it fly when he's open and he didn't always do that last night. I hope getting that first one under his belt will help.

As much as people are concerned about our interior defense, and laud how good Philly’s bigs are, we held Embiid and Horford to a comhined 10 - 27 shooting for 31 pts. That’s darn good!

Disappointed. BOS got mauled on the boards. Hayward looked really good; Tatum on the other hand took way too many shots.
