Yep, that's basically what's happening on the floor, Mev. Everything goes through Pierce, Ricky, and to some extent, Blount. We hardly run any plays to get Ricky or Pierce open. Its just hand them the ball and let them score for us. And the problem is that they are scoring. They are producing points for us--but that's just masking our deficiencies. Because they are scoring, we keep going to them for offense, instead of trying our best to work on getting better as a team offense.
The Kings showed us how far behind we are in terms of running a team offense. We are still just the Pierce and Ricky show.

Doc is playing Ricky too many minutes. He played 44 last night. He is worn out by the end of games and doesn't have enough left to play defense. Perk doesn't get enough minutes to develop. He needs to be able to play through mistakes and learn but he gets pulled after 5 minutes and gets another 5 or so minutes later and how in the world can he get better? We continue to beat ourselves by turning the ball over 20+ times per game. This is a matter of focus and effort. Almost every one is unforced and a matter of losing our focus... bad pass, 3 second violation, defensive 3 second violation, travel, step out of bounds, etc. Also, we have absolutely no defense for the pick and roll. You would think with all of the teams beating us with it that Doc would concentrate on it but he doesn't seem to be because every game we get beat by it. We have 2 of the softest centers in the league who continually get out rebounded by our guards. Danny needs to trade them both for one tough big man not afraid to play under the basket. Although Raef has been better the past couple games in that respect. We have a tough big man who would really help us if he were given regular minutes but Doc for some reason just refuses to give him a chance to develop.
I still have hope for this team but really see Doc as holding back the development of the kids which needs to happen before we can take that next step to be a good team.

The best way to develop kids so that they can help us contend for a title in 3 years is to give them lots and lots of playing time. But that won't happen because Blount, Raef, Pierce, and Ricky are going to get the bulk of the minutes.
If we only give the kids 15 minutes a game, it'll take them 5 - 7 years to get them good enough that they won't look like young kids--but still far off from reaching their potentials.
