Carsen turned it around. They have to waive Yabu and just eat the salary. He has regressed and doesn't seem to want it

Tacko exciting fans now, but this is summer league. I just don’t see how he’s going to keep up with NBA speed. Take for instance, all Golden State has to do is play Draymomd at the 5 and have him park behind the arc. There’s no way Tacko recovers and closes out quickly enough to the perimeter. And all Draymond has to do is pump fake once, get Tacko to bite even just a bit, and Draymond is going to toast Tacko, who won’t be able to turn his hips around quick enough and takes too long accelerate in short space.
And then offensively, you’d think Tacko would have an easy time scoring over the 6’6” Draymond, but all Green will do is body up on Tacko, below the hips, moving him off his base, not giving Tacko a chance to be balanced (which I’m sure won’t be hard to do for a guy who is ridiculously tall). And even if Draymomd fouls Fall, Tacko is such a horrible free throw shooter that I’m sure teams would rather him get to the line.

Grant Williams is a middle linebacker who uses his smarts and intuition to his advantage. Plays like such a vet!! And guess what, he’s only 20!!! 3 years of college and he’s still younger than Tatum! Brad is going to play him right off the bat.
Grant gotta hit his 3s, though. And get to the line.
Robert Williams had some good moments tonight — he’s gotta play with a chip. When he’s passive, he misses his opportunities. When he’s aggressive, he has the advantage. He’s got to make more space for himself, like get an ultra quick spin move that separates him from his man. When he gets the ball under the basket, he’s only looking vertically (defenders just wait for Robert to go up). Gotta spread his stance and make his circle wider — make defenders worry about him spinning away from them left or right.
Tremont plays much better when he’s loose and using his feel. And once again he displayed uncanny defensive instincts.
Carsen is what he is — instant offense and a gritty player.

I think the highest hopes we had was that he could just play in the NBA. He's as bad as he always looked to my eyes. I'm just glad his time is running out. Also, Tacko! I agree with Derren unfortunately...He's intriguing but guys like him don't have an advantage simply by being tall. Gotta be able to move and get to your spots. I'll keep rooting for him, but I'm not sure any GMs really put much stock in summer league performance.

Taco can get better. A huge part of the reason he's in the league is because he held his own against Zion. He's not a starter. Only so many teams have a Draymond.

Taco can get better. A huge part of the reason he's in the league is because he held his own against Zion. He's not a starter. Only so many teams have a Draymond. Tacko’s efffectiveness is best seen when opposition are foolish enough to drive “at” him or in his facility — meaning in his comfort area. But with the modern game expanding outwards to the three point line, Tacko simply can’t close out quick enough, and if he does he’s susceptible to the drive by. NBA teams will scheme against him and attack his weaknesses, make him run in circles and trip over himself. I know Brad would.
