I'd take Carsen Edwards, a late 2020 first, and 5.4mill cap space over Ty Jerome any day

Good bye Terry Rozier.
I'm pretty happy with our haul. Every guy is a baller. No projects.

I'd take Carsen Edwards, a late 2020 first, and 5.4mill cap space over Ty Jerome any day I'd have to think about that one. That's how much I would have liked Jerome on our team. In my opinion, he would have been the perfect addition to our squad, with what we are trying to do.

With our 51st pick, we take Tremont Waters. This is a meh pick for me. I don't see him sticking in the NBA.

So overall, Danny turned the [HASH]14,20,22 picks into:
[HASH]14: Romeo Langford - a skilled guy who would have gone much higher if not for a thumb injury.
[HASH]20: traded for the [HASH]24 and [HASH]33. [HASH]24 turned into a (probably)late 2020 first rounder and cap space. [HASH]33: Carsen Edwards - who fell because of his size. So we moved from [HASH]20 to somewhere late in the first round next year and snagged Edwards to boot.
[HASH]22: Grant Williams - who is smallish for a PF but was SEC player of the year, so he must have some skills.

One last comment about the draft coverage. Does anyone really think that Jay Bilas or anyone else on that panel really has a clue about how good a pro most of these young guys are going to be? If Bilas was as good at evaluating talent as he likes to project someone would offer him a GM job.
I was looking at the 2013 pre-draft consensus mock draft, and no one had Giannis being taken in the lottery (top 14). And how about Draymond? Or Dokic? Both taken in the second round. Kawhi was taken at 15. Point is, aside from a few surefire guys it's really hard to know who's going to make it.
For me, because I watch very little college ball, the first few minutes I see a guy in summer league tells me more than all the talking heads in the world. I can't wait to see our new guys!

I find myself disagreeing with Bilas quite often. Not to say he doesn't hit it on the nail at all, but overall, I question his ability to make good judgments on prospects. And by saying that, I know I'm giving the perception that I'm better than Bilas -- the truth is, no one bats a thousand or pitches a no hitter every time out.
