Semi took a charge from Giannis which may be the only time i've seen that so far. I think we could catch him more in those types of scenarios to put him in foul trouble and maybe think twice before just barreling through the paint. Guys would rather hack at him as he spins away instead of moving their feet and taking the hit though. If you're going to foul, might as well make it worth it or try to make it a charge.

So much for the officials being even. They are an albatross and are tge onky reason that the Bucks are in the game.
The way they are officiating Ginnis is as bad as how Harden gets officiated.

Free throws have turned the tables on us.

Look, we gotta give credit to these Bucks. They are a really good team, who has a legit shot at a title. They’re proving not to be a fluke. We’ve struggled with chemistry and roles the whole year, and we’re finally playing better, but we haven’t been able to build the tight cohesivess needed at this time of year.
I still think we can beat them in this series, but we need to play flawless.

But at the same time, the refs are giving this game to the Bucks!!

Hayward and Horford, we need you. Combined 4 for 13, 11 points.

I disagree on the officials. They were bad, but not that bad. This is 100% on us. We don't attack like the Bucks do. Our defense was slow and lazy. So many times we simply reached or slapped at Giannis instead of manning up. I was very dissapointed with our defensive effort. Remember how great we were in game 1? Rotating quickly and closing lanes on Giannis. This game was the opposite. That third quarter was a slog and I think we fouled them for like 6 minutes straight. That's on us.
The Bucks drive with purpose and attack.
We drive only to pass it back to the 3 point line.
That's the difference. If we don't hit our 3's or shots - we lose. If the Bucks don't hit their shots - then they can always get their points in the paint.

I can't blame this one on the refs. The fact is, Giannis is completely outplaying Kyrie, and NBA series are won and lost by the stars. If Irving doesn't find his game we're toast.
It would also help if GH got hot. All year we've been so much better when Gordon played, and scored, well. We could sure use him now.
JB, JT, Morris, Horford, were all pretty good.

Defense could not stop them. If we don't come up with good adjustments we are in trouble.
Both teams are similar in that each has one star and several good players around him. These last 2 games their star has been better.
Not to look ahead too much, but if we do have the chance this summer to flip Tatum and Brown for AD we should. To beat a team like GS in a 7 game series will take more than one star.

What you guys are missing us that the one siddednes of the officiating in the paint caused us to avoid it in the second half. This was because we knew we were not going to get a call when fouls were equally committed by both teams. This is textbook on how the nba controls outcomes.
They didn't start to give us calls until they helped them to a 16 point lead so now the box score won't look as bad as it was to cover up how bad they truly were.

I have never believed that the NBA controls outcomes. If I believed that I wouldn't watch. That's not to say that refs don't make mistakes or even have had games. I just didn't see it tonight.
What I did see is that Giannis is often borderline out of control when he makes a run at the rim, and we could do a better job of drawing charges on him.

As far as the fixing games goes...the league usually saves that for the Fakers aka vs Sacramento in the 2002 WCF'S and Game 7 against us in 2010. That is the issue...he is getting rewarded for being put of control and having no game plan other than causing contact (while traveling) and getting put on the line. We took what should have been two or three charges that were called blocks. Then he takes a charge while standibg on the restrided line which by rule is a block no matter what position he had. This era of basketball is frustrating to watch to say the least

Kyrie’s postgame interview, you could tell he knew the refs were calling in favor of Giannis. Playing next to Lebron, I think Kyrie knows what the royal treatment looks like. He pointed out how the Bucks got into the bonus at the 8 minute mark of the 3rd, essentially slowing the game down and handcuffing our defense from playing aggressively anymore. Said Giannis is a great player and draws a lot of contact. But he also knows they were drawing contact but weren’t getting any calls. But listening to Kyrie, and observing his demeanor in that interview, he looks confident and ready to challenge the Bucks. It’s like he knows we still have a good chance to bring them down.
