Who is better at this present time (a day after being eliminated from a long postseason) — Jaylen or Tatum?
Jaylen had the higher scoring average in the playoffs, but it seems Tatum came through more late in games. Granted, scoring isn’t the only important contribution.

It is Tatum and it isn't close. I am also pretty sure that Tatum lead us in scoring in the post season where it really counts.
That kid is going to be a superstar. Brown has a chance to do the same with his athletic ability, it comes more natural with Tatum.
I want to keep both and would only give up Brown foe either KAT or AD because both of those guys are game changers that would round out our team perfectly.

I'd say Tatum as well. Brown has flashes but is less consistent. Both have really high ceilings and I want to keep both for the long term.

I've been team Jaylen since before we drafted him, but I gotta go Tatum. I see Brown having a Jason Richardson type career. Tatum could be more like Paul Pierce/Alex English. Pierce>Richardson.

Jaylen is raw, and Tatum is already so polished. You just wonder how good Jaylen can/will be if he gets Tatum-level polish in his footwork.
But because that question looms, Tatum is my pick also.
I wonder if Jaylen can be like a young Andre Iguodala?

Tatum, because he can create his own shot.

Tatum, no question about it. His decision making is better already than Brown's is and he just has such a smooth game. The sky is the limit for that kid.

You hear guys like Pierce talk glowingly about Tatum, and not praise Jaylen as much.
I'm not advocating trading Jaylen, just to get rid of him, but a reason why Ainge may wind up trading Jaylen is because Jayson needs to be getting 32 - 35 minutes a game. If we have all of our wings back next season, players are going to have their time cut short. Tatum, as well as Jaylen, need a lot of court time to further their development, and I don't think you can do them both justice being on the same team.

If JT adds muscle, which I'm sure he will, can we play him at PF, so that JB, GH and JT could all be on the court together? I suspect that we'll see that lineup at least on a trial basis.
One thing I wonder about is if GMs put any importance on the relationship players have with each other. JB and JT seem to have a special relationship. Having two potential stars who don't show jealousy of each other, or care "whose team it is" might be worth preserving, as it helps set the team first tone that all successful teams have.

I think we'll try Tatum at PF IF we keep Jaylen. That's playing him out of position, and it may not be ideal. Having Tatum guard guys 20+ pounds more than him over the course a season could wear him out.
But, for the sake of argument, if we obtained KAT using Jaylen as the centerpiece, then we'd have KAT and Horford manning the paint, allowing Jayson to be the 3, his natural position.

Why would MIN trade for Brown, when they have Wiggins (SF), and Butler (SG)?

Because Wiggins has not lived up to expectations, and he plays soft. Jaylen is tough and determined (and rapidly improving), and having Jaylen and Butler is a more formidable and fearful duo that I'm sure Coach Thibs would salivate over.

I've seen Jaylen's name, along with Rosier's, in rumors for a trade up to get Mo Bamba in the draft. I've also seen that Tatum is untouchable.

Rozier is going to become a pricey non-star. Jaylen is a victim of us having two fantastic starting wings in Tatum and Hayward, who are complete ballplayers.
