Sixers might have more talent in terms of who is out there, but they showed they don't execute as well as us even with our mistakes. Big win. 26% from 3, missed free throws, foul trouble, and we pull this out on the road. A great step for the young guys. Some great play calls from the timeout and I'll be interested in seeing if we can see this all the way through and pull a sweep.

(censored) the process and the undeserved hype and fake swagger that is this Philly team. Thanks for dropping the confetti to celebrate our win 76ers. It says a lot that this team was able to overcome some of the worst officiating I have seen in a long time to wim this game on the road. Sweep them on Monday and wait for the LeFlop's in the ECF'S. Too bad Red isn't around to gloat over the confetti. Reminiscent of the Lakers putting balloons up in the rafters to celebrate what they thought would be a Game 7 win over the Celtics in '69. Russell saw the balloons before the game and told Jerry West "those f*****s aren't coming down." I normally don't like to blame the refs, but I agree that this game was awful. The Sixers manhandled us all game long and got the benefit of every call and non-call. Tatum was called for bogus fouls but wasn't getting calls when the Sixers were mugging him on drives. Philly was playing bump and run on Rozier, knocking him all over the place as he brought the ball up, and no call. Embiid is a beast, but they let him just batter his way to the hoop. There were several times when he flattened a Celtic and never got called for a charge. Somehow, our guys didn't get frustrated, kept their poise, and pulled it out when Philly self-destructed with one horrible mistake after another. Embiid and Simmons sure have a lot of attitude for guys who haven't won anything. |
