A Kuzma-like player in this draft is Chandler Hutchinson.

If we lose Smart because he out-prices himself, a player who we could try to fill Smart's shoes (eventually, and even then it won't completely be filled )is Jevon Carter from Wichita State. Supposed to be an intense ball hawk. Seems to have more of a (natural) pull up game, he's a better shooter all around from 3's and from the stripe. But he's a couple of inches shorter and he doesn't have Smart's wingspan.

So far, it’s being reported that we have interest in DiVencenzo, Spellman and Huerter. I’d endorse any of those players.

Report is Danny is interested in moving up to get Mo Bamba.
It’ll take trading assets to move up that high.

I Bamba is my binky in this draft, followed by Jaren Jackson Jr. Would orlando listen to a Rozier + #27? Id throw in the LAC pick if needed. Orlando has been terrible forever and Old Man DeVos has said he wants to see his team win. A core of: Rozier Fournier Isaac Gordon Vucevic Augustin, Ross, Simmons, Mario, Bismack is a solid team. Coached right that team makes the playoffs in the east.

Oh man, Orlando is so terrible. They're stuck in pergatory. Every year they draft high, but only high enough to get fringe prospects. I mean, after being in the high lottery for so many years, what do they have to show for it? A JV team.
Yeah, if they're willing to take on Rozier, I'd make the trade if it'll land Bamba.

Lack of development by ORL, and panic moves.

Theyve also had bad lottery luck. Except when they were lucky enough to have drafted Shaq, Penny and Dwight Howard. I meant on this current rebuild. But yeah, for the first half of that franchises, existence, they had a ton of lucky horseshoes. Got 3 1st rounders in drafts with premier big men in them.

Traded up to draft E Payton, while PHI selected Dario Saric, and received another first round selection.

Khyri Thomas is a 6’3” combo guard out of Creighton.
When you think of a Brad Stevens type of player, Thomas comes to mind. A blue chipper who’s focused and coachable. Fundamentally grounded, does the right things, plays within himself and the game. Doesn’t appear flamboyant at all.
Got an outstanding wingspan at + 7 (6’10”), which helps him to pester and pickpocket guys he’s guarding.
Strong and sturdy body.
He’s missing that extra gear, but he’s a tick faster than Marcus Smart.
All in all, i’d endorse him @ 27.

A guy who I'm surprised isn't getting more attention is USC's 6'10" Chimezie Metu.
His combination of height, agility, body control, explosiveness, motor and actual basketball skills should make him a big time intriguing talent, but not many mocks have him going in the lottery.

Ellie Okobo is a nice looking scoring PG. Has a nice change of speed game. Moves deliberately at first, but can dart passed his defender with good acceleration. Shows a good set shot beyond the arc.
Could make a nice backup.

Exactly 2 weeks away.
I'm not anxiouis about who we will be drafting at 27, but I'm eagerly awaiting to see if Ainge pulls a move to get up high in the draft. That suspense is what's making me check for updates (and tidbits, rumors, etc) constantly throughout the day.
