Great win. Al was the MVP, however Rozier and Morris were streaky in a good way tonight. I do not think this loss was on Prunty; Bledsoe is a shoot first PG and that was the issue.
Cringe shot of the night - Smart pull up 3 on a 3 on 1. I was like, NO!

I LOVE Marcus Smart. I HATE Marcus Smart. If he would just stop that exact kind of foolishness, Roadrunner, I'd be a big Smart fan. Overall, there was more to like than dislike in his game the last few games, but I worry that as this team goes deep in the playoffs in future years, his bad choices will kill us at some point.

I love Smart even with all his lapses. My affection for his game is similar to Tony Allen who also used to give me headaches with his decisions. Still, I love him as long as we can keep him (which might not be very long).
I'm sad Jaylen might miss Game 1 for the Sixers as I really would like to give them all we got (or at least what's left of us). I hope his play isn't hampered throughout the series. I would love to beat the 76ers since everyone is picking them, but I do think they're talented. I'm hoping once we amp the pressure they'll crumble. This was a good series to win. The Bucks should be better, I think. This is a testament to our chemistry and system. I hope it can take us far even without our all-stars.

I'm in the I love Marcus Smart group. Every team needs a pit bull like Smart that does all the dirty work and all the little things that help the team win. Yes, he can be frustrating on offense, but he also is so important to the defense. I hope Danny can keep him this summer.

But yeah, keeping him would be a good thing for us.

If we could keep him for $8 million and he'd shoot less (a lot less), I'd be in favor of keeping him, because there is no doubt he brings a certain energy and attitude that is unique. But I don't think either thing, the low salary or the decreased shots, is very likely. It will be interesting though to see how the league values Smart, and what kind of offers he gets. I think Danny will wait and see, rather than making an offer early.

Brad has been able to mask his offensive deficiencies, but not many coaches are good like Brad. Some teams may tempt him with a bigger role, as Rozier is probably taking the back up role next season. Smart may leave if the money is the same but his role is bigger. But if he wants to stay and be a part of our dynasty, then i'd sure welcome him back.

There have been players who started out shooting poorly and then worked on their shot and ended up shooting quite well. I think as hard as Marcus works he can come back and shoot much better.

Yes, but we've heard and seen stories of his working on his shot in past summers, and it almost never translates into game action. Remember the video from last summer of him knocking down 3 after 3? For whatever reason he rarely can make them consistently in a game. I want him to shoot less until he can show he can make shots. Otherwise he's just throwing away a possession when we have so many better shooters than him out there. Every athlete has to know what they can do and what they can't. Right now, Smart can't shoot. Personally I don't think he'll ever be able to shoot, but guys like Simmons and Rondo show that you can be effective by doing other things.

I said before the season, Smart would probably get Roberson (OKC) type of money, like $10m/year.
Runrondo - Tony Allen was another roadrunner favorite for the emphatic "NO." Played great defense, then fouls the shooter from 3-point land with no time on the shot clock.

Danny said on Toucher and Rich that he doesn't mind Smart taking shots -- it keeps defenses honest. Said Smart does miss, but he's also capable of catching fire and hitting big shots.
All in all, I'll take Smart as is, warts and all, as long as it's for 8 mil or less.
