Q's post game wrap up - The Celtics found the energy that was lost in the luggage transfer through Houston.
The Celtics responded to Oklahoma's defense with some of their own and taking it to the basket and making their FT's. Blount played well for a change with the big boss watching and complimenting Mark on being focused (hmm is that a cold trade wind I feel blowing outside).
But lets give it up for Mr Al Jefferson who could emerge as the next Karl Malone until I am in my Sixties (man that is a scary thought. The kid keeps improving week to week and commands 36 minutes a night PT. Once he gets the Kick out pass to set up open teammates, this team will be practically unstoppable.
Perkins is our future Center - Glad to know you Mr Blount (Cold Trade wind picks up).
Pierce and RD will be the 2 and 3 mainstays until Tony Allen comes back and makes one of the two expendable.
Gomes got to play and made some nice put backs in the 2nd qtr - very encouraging to see. (Brian Scalabrine - see in Phx and say hi to Waltah well you out there).
Point Guard position still needs work, especially after Delonte West.
Raef will get out of his shooting slump and is a good on the ball defender in the post. Having to move to cover other Defensive Pick and Roll errors is not his strong suit. We need Perkins, West, Gomes, Reed, or whoever for that. That is a coaching problem for Doc to solve.
Next game is a good one to miss and take the wife out on a Friday night date. Playing against San Antonio is a frustrating exercise.
So Peace Out, and thank you FL

Blount can give the second unit the shooter it needs. I hope Doc sticks with Perkins starting and Blount off the bench. If Blount has the hot hand, ride him, but if not give most of the time to Perkins who gives us a solid inside presence, and per 82games.com has a great +/- (measures our points vs other team's points while a player is in the game).
Nice to see us leading from start to finish and responding well to a bad game.

Thanks guys! It's fun posting the reports and since I watch the games at my computer it makes it easy to do. I appreciate the nice comments.
I like the lineup with Perk starting with Raef and Blount off the bench with Al. I know a lot of people are saying Al should start but with Perk starting, we are a much better team with Al coming off the bench. Al/Blount and Perk/Raef make two good inside outside teams. Blount and Raef do not play under the basket and aren't bangers. They are good to spread the defense to get our two bangers Perk/Al open underneath. I hope Doc sticks with it. Blount/Al coming off the bench solves our second unit scoring problems also. We now have a 1-2 punch that will avoid that drop off when the first unit gets a rest.
Ricky played great defense last night and was hassling CPaul all night. Our defense seems to dictate the mood and tempo of games. When we play hustle defense, our offense seems to endergize. The key is to get this kind of effort every night. We seem to have a good game and then let up the next. I think that will come though the more we play and the more the team gets to know each other.

Jefferson seems to have finally started the season. Don't need more positive news that that.
