With the C's having been knocked out of the playoffs, I can't wait until the NBA Draft Lottery - especially this year, when our hopes and possibilities are so high. I read all the articles about the guys Ainge/Stevens are working out, the mock drafts, the Durant (wishful) scenarios, the trade ideas. Then I check here to see what is going on - which understandably isn't much. I don't want to wish my life away, but I REALLY want to know where we're picking, and then WHO we're picking - or trading for. I assume I'm not alone? Or are you all more patient than I am?

I agree! It's so hard just waiting to see what is going to happen. We've never had much luck in the lottery but with our own leprechaun representing the Celtics this season maybe that will change. And with 8 picks in this draft, Danny has to package them or something. We don't have room for 8 player nor do we want 8 rookies. And it's not just the lottery and the draft. July 1 when Danny can sign free agents. Will we finally attract a big time free agent? I saw a quote from Durant saying how much having a good coach it important. i really don't see him leaving OKC though. I see a lot of rumors about trading for Butler. He wouldn't be bad but I don't want to give up the farm to get him. It's a tough time when other teams are still playing also. Next year we will still be playing.

This will the most exciting draft in quite some time for the C's. It'll be interesting to see what DA does with all those draft picks.

I agree. I hate the time leading up to the lottery and I hate the lottery itself

So you think the Celtics have had bad luck in recent draft lotteries, ie the Duncan and Durant drafts? I was playing around with the draft simulator on csnne just now and came up with a result in which the Celtics had NO pick in the lottery. I should have taken a screen shot!

Now that's a nightmare scenario! The Celtics should at least get a top 3 pick but as we all know, the lottery has NEVER been kind to the Celtics. We finally got the 2nd pick in the 1986 draft only to have him die 48 hours later. I really do hate the lottery.

Technically I don't think the Bias thing was a real lottery. The rules changed a lot since then.
If it makes you feel better I used the lottery predictor and got the Celts with the [HASH]1 pick first try and immediately shut it off
