One very important area we need to keep a keen eye on is Brad and his staff's player development.
If each young player we draft and bring in can up their game to the next level (hopefully a couple of levels, but lets not get greedy), it'll bode well for success. For instance, if Marcus Smart can tighten his handles and get into the heart of the lanes more frequently, that'll open up more scoring opportunities for him and his teammates.
Same goes for Avery Bradley (then he won't have to only settle for long two pointers).
If Jared Sullinger can up his game and be a more proficient scorer (in the post and behind the arc), our offense will run smoother.
Think about if both James Young and RJ Hunter can be more than just 3 point shooter?
What can we do with a good defender in the post and weakside shot blocker (Jordan Mickey)?
What it'll mean if we have a staff that develops players well is we'll have a team that develops a good foundation of solid, contributing players.
Developing players also means we will have more options on the trading table.

Sullinger is going to enter his 4th year in the league. He's been hampered by injuries since leaving Ohio State, and has been battling weight issues long before then.
If he's finally healthy, and if he continues to diligently work his weight down (and keep it down), could we expect to see a jump in Sully's production, and finally see the guy who was once tabbed a high lottery pick?
The past 2 seasons he's hovered around 13 ppg and 8 rpg in roughly 28 minutes/game. Maybe with better conditioning, and increased minutes, we could see maybe 15 and 9? Or maybe even 17 and 10?
Two interesting things popped out at first glance when looking at his stats. He averaged 0.7 blocks in 27 minutes. That averages out to 1 block per game per 36 minutes. Never knew Sully had that in him, as overweight and out of shape as he is. And the other thing is, as often as he is in the trenches, grabbing offensive boards, and pushing his offense into the paint, he only averaged 2 free throws per game. That seems awfully low for him.

It seems that James Young is prepared to take a jump.
