Should we go hard after Kawhi Leonard?
Maybe the bigger question is, would Kawhi Leonard leave San Antonio? If he's not interested in leaving, no amount of money will convince him.

I would gladly throw a max deal on him, but i would be shocked if he left. From everything I've read he is a reallllly quiet, gentle guy that doesn't like the spotlight. He seems comfortable in SA, so I'd be shocked to see him leave for a bigger market. My guess is it would take SA to really lowball him for Leonard to think about leaving, and I don't see that happening.
This seems to be the case with a lot of the free agents out there this season (at least the max contract types). I just don't see a lot of options. I think there is a better chance of us making a big move in free agency in 2016. If anything we may trade for a bigger player this year, or what i think is more likely is that we parlay our capspace to a team that needs to shed salary like we did with Cleveland last year. Maybe squeeze a 2019 fist out of GS if we pick up that last year on that David Lee deal? They desperately need to clear salary, and Lee would actually be a decent fit here. He is no shot blocker, but he can rebound.

He's already said he wants to stay in San Antonio and they are set to offer him a max contract and they can offer more than other teams. I'd be very shocked if he even hits free agency.

Very likely he stays his whole career there. Seems like a perfect match. Best thing we can do if we want a player similar to Kawhi is trade up to draft Stanley Johnson.
