The NBA is a joke. Kelly did not intentionally injure Kevin Love. But he gets one game suspension to start next season.
The Cavs told Cedric Maxwell at the half that they were going to get even for Love's injury. They weren't going after Kelly since he wasn't playing much and losing him wouldn't hurt the Celtics that much. It was clear that they went after Jae purposely because he was having the biggest impact for the Celtics.
Perk clearly was looking to take Jae out. He should have been ejected from the game for the hit on Jae. I love Perk, but that was a dirty play. After the league reviewed it, they upgraded it to a flagrant 2. Since he wasn't ejected, he should be suspended for a game. That's the way it has gone in the past. But the league is obviously pandering to the Cavs so no suspension.
And JR Smith only gets 2 games. Ron Artest got 7 games for hitting Harden in the head a couple years back. Part of the 7 games was because he had a history. Smith has a history also - This was his 7th major incident. The guys on TNT all agreed that 5 games was the least he should get given what he did and his reputation. But he gets just 2 games because they want the Cavs in the Finals so bad they can't stand it. They wouldn't want their cash cow to exit early. This is so infuriating! Especially since they said ahead of time they were going to get even. Along with Smith's prior reputation, there is premeditation.

No surprise. A superstar league. Really disapointed.
