It wouldn't surprise me if we lose big time tomorrow, since the Warriors are a really good, deep playoff bound team. No shame in getting smashed by a team of their caliber.
But what does it mean if we take their best shot right on the chin, and remain standing? What does it tell us about our new team (if you look at our lineup, we pretty much are a new team compared to the start of this season) if we beat the Warriors tomorrow, in view of what we have done since we've made the trade for Isaiah Thomas and Jonas Jerebko (won 3 straight games, and it would have 4 if the ref didn't eject Isaiah in the Lakers game)?
We are a new look team with an identity that is forming and solidifying with each game. We were recently able to beat some lowly teams, which really doesn't say much, other than maybe we got hot or we are playing inspired basketball. But if we end up beating Golden State, now that says something.

It would depend a little on if we go toe to toe or if they mess up a lot and don't bring it.
If we go toe to toe and win it means we have to stay the course. Draft well and make good signings. Take advantage of trades. Don't freak out.

In a 82 game season, I never see one game meaning all that much. Win or lose, this is still a team well below .500 in the worst conference in pro sports.

Even though we lost the game, it showcased some positives moving forward.
We are not far from putting together a solid team (not to be confused with a playoff team, or contender, which we're not close to being yet). With a defensive Center (like maybe Willie Cauley-Stei ), we should definitely be able to break .500.
A healthy Sullinger and Olynyk, along with a defensive Center, and our 3 guard unit of Isaiah-Smart-Bradley, with the help of Chowder and Jerebko off the bench, we ought to be a handful of games better than .500.
What we need to get us to the next level is an elite scoring SF.

Could be a couple of elite SFs in the 2016 draft (Simmons, Brown). Let's hope Brooklyn is reallllly bad next year.

The fact that the Celtics gave GSW all they could handle shows to me that they are on the right track. They are a couple pieces away though. I think everyone agrees that they need a rim protector first and foremost. Then, they need an elite scoring 3. Turner isn't it. Keep the core of Smart, Bradley, Thomas, and maybe Bass and Zeller along with Crowder,Jerebko, Olynyk and Sullinger together. Add the pieces and the Celtics are on their way.

Unfortunately, with the talk that we may try for fireworks again this summer, the nucleus might be broken up to bring in some big time players.

I give this "fireworks" talk about as much credence as I gave last year's. If there is a good move to be made, Danny will make it (see: Isaiah Thomas trade). They won't make moves just to appease impatient fans. This franchise is too smart to do that.

I think the team has a ton of money, a good core, and is headed in the right direction. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they get a decent player. I think this loss showed the team has a lot of energy, ability, and confidence, but has a ways to go to be elite.
I think next year with a much better J Young and Smart things should start getting pretty interesting
