This guy is Bobby Jackson Part II. I don't know how long we can keep him coming off the bench. He is our best scorer. As advertised, he is excellent as a pick and roll guy and a guy who can go get his own points.

Love that guy. His salary is so awesome. By the end of that deal he's making about 6 mill a year, which after the new CBA in 2016 is going to be less than the MLE.

Funny how a lot of commentators were scratching their heads at Ainge getting Thomas, but this team needed a reliable go-to scorer, and he has done that nicely.

Question now becomes, do we become a PG dominant offense, or stay the course with Brad's system?

Question now becomes, do we become a PG dominant offense, or stay the course with Brad's system? That's the problem I see with Thomas, he's ball dominant. I like to see the ball move more they way the Spurs and Atlanta do, I think/thought that's the type of system Stevens wanted to run. Thomas is playing really well right now but when the honeymoon is over Im afraid he will become a chucker and I'll start to cringe every time he has the ball. Here's a quote from Cousins after IT left. DMC on PG changes: "it’s been incredible. It’s been a smooth transition. The ball is moving a lot better. It’s not stuck in one place ... I'm in the minority of Celtics fans when it comes to liking IT and feel bad I've been a little negative on him but he comes here and fans now think he's an All Star. If that was the case why didn't the team that knows him best (Sac) not offer him a contract? He only makes about 7 mil a year. Why would the Suns decide to move this guy 4 months after they sign him to be a big part of their team?

So far, IT seems to be trying to move the ball and get his teammates more involved. In fact, last night he made a couple of Rondo-like passes and his teammates weren't ready for them and they became turnovers. I think he's going to try to fit with Brad's system and he is a good enough ball handler and passer that he can find the open man.

Isaiah Thomas can be our Tony Parker.
Both are scoring PG's. Both are slithery with the dribble and can penetrate into the lane at will. Both are excellent at scoring near the basket and dishing off for the assist. Both can knock down perimeter jumpers on pull ups and with their feet set. Both push the tempo and put pressure on the defense.
Both can be heroes when needed. Both can hit big shots in crunch time.
Difference right now is (and in basing this off my observation) Tony picks and chooses when to dominate the ball, while Thomas still depends a bit too much on holding onto the ball.
But I'm sure he can adjust when he sees the positive impact of team ball movement, and taking over in the flow of the offense.
