I think its a bit strange that there never seems to be serious trade rumors involving Brandon Bass. His 7 million dollar salary is high, but he's a steady performer who can help any team, especially a playoff team looking to beef up their big man rotation. He's in the final year of his contract, which should make him more attractive. I'd be surprised if he's not traded.
Jeff Green is having a career year, but his contract is more expensive than Bass'. 9 mill this year, and a player's option for next. I think he'll be harder to move, and I think the only teams who will seriously be interested in him are the borderline playoff teams who are eager to make the playoffs this year. Maybe Charlotte, since they tasted success last year but have struggled so far this season. They need to keep building on their success if they want the fans to show up.

I think Green's contact is essentially an expiring deal as well. He's definitely going to opt out and become a free agent. My guess is we'll get a 2nd rounder and filler for bass, maybe a late 1st and filler for Green. I too like CHA as a trade target. We need to find some way of getting MKG from them.

Nah, still not on board with MKG. Actually, I was never a fan of Evan Turner, but he looks like he's doing better with us. But I feel MKG is a notch below Turner in terms of useful basketball skills.

There are lots of rumors swirling around Green and Bass now. Reportedly, Danny is shopping them pretty hard, looking to get more draft picks for them. I really like both guys and they are solid players who are playing very well right now. It's hard to believe, though, that there aren't several contenders out there making serious offers for these two guys.

Funny thing is, with all this talk of having a fire-sale, we currently hold the final playoff spot in the East!

Shows you how weak the East is overall.

I agree, Derren. Being in the [HASH]8 spot is more about how weak the other teams are than about how good the Celtics are.

I've been going threw this with my Oakland A's too. But in a major way - about every 3-4 years.

I am speculating that Danny is holding out trading either, because no team is willing to part a first round selection.
