www.sportsonearth.com/article/86219920/nba-boston-celtics-rajon-rondo-point-guard-value#!boikUn Just a different viewpoint that he put into words better than I can sometimes but good to hear some intelligent thought. I think his point is kind of what I feel though that Rondo is underrated and underappreciated by far and my patience with him isn't dwindling so much. I still see him as a player who can lead this team. I don't understand the focus on trading him so much either. It's a bunch of loud fans who don't like him for who knows why. How I rate players usually doesn't go along with the majority though. I also don't know Rondo personally and don't know if it's just a lot of contrived bs or what. Sometimes the greatest players are disliked. There is jealousy everything in between. Emmitt Smith was like that for a lot of people. Some people still refuse to rate him in their top 10. Rondo has basically played 30 games without Pierce, KG and Ray and has been nothing but a top tier player so far in his career.

Good find. Hard to sell short Rondo's understanding of the game.

It's a bunch of loud fans who don't like him for who knows why. I don't think it has to do with liking or disliking Rondo. I am personally a fan of Rondo. He's been on of my favorite C's when it comes to how he deals with the media (he'd fall just behind Delonte West and KG). Plus he is a blast to watch. That said, I think this team needs to move RR if they want to truly rebuild. Plus, I think Rondo is going to get vastly overpaid in this market, and I'd rather it not be the C's who do the overpaying, so I'd rather move Rondo for some picks/young talent, bottom out this year, then enter the 2015 with scads of cap room and a great pick.

I just more liked how he talks about how this is a big year for rondo to see whether he can be a catalyst for this team as much as something else. I don't think not getting Kevin love which seems to be a done deal really changes that either. Rondo is still a part of this team and is more than likely going to be until the trade deadline at the earliest.
100 mil is a lot of money and we have marcus smart waiting in the wings but there's still no pressure to deal him at this point.
I still think there is a chance as much as anything rondo could be a part of things. I don't think we have to move him.

I don't think the priority is to get something for him before it's too late either. Just a different perspective on things. I don't think Rondo is that integral as people think he is in that regard. We can build through the draft and make moves to bring other players in here regardless of rondo.
I think this year is a good year to see what rondo can be for us in ways and that's how it goes.

I agree with this, but A lot of people can't separate the facts from their personal love for the player.
