Well so far I have been disappointed in the offseason moves the Celtics have made. Lance Stephenson just signed a prove it deal for 9 million a year, that's Bradley money. Lance is light years ahead of Bradley's game IMO. DA hasn't made this team better or worse just standing pat is disappointing. The Zeller move was nice but not moving any of these vets is frustrating. What are the Celtics trying to do? Why do we have no direction? I think DA fleeced the Nets last season and now will only trade players if he is robbing the other team. This offseason is the first one in awhile where DA has frustrated me. Either move the vets or make a play to make this team better. Being content with what we have is not the answer.

IMO Bradley got paid too much I think he's a nice bench player not a starter on a good team. Rondo's value is at an all time low there are fewer and fewer teams that need a PG. I'm a huge believer of trading Rondo and even now I'm thinking it's likely they may not move him. What playoff team at the deadline is going to give up anything significant for Rondo? Is a playoff team going to totally change their offense in February and hand over the keys to Rondo? Why is Bass here? He's in the last year of his deal we are set at PF he's only going to take minutes from KO and Sully. Why hasn't Jeff Green been moved? After seeing what guys like Ariza got for a contract how can we not move Green for something?
I'm frustrated get me players to make this team better or trade players to make us worse. This standing pat stuff is terrible.

There's a lot off-season left, gentleman. I think once the free agency dust settles, the teams that struck out on free agents are going to be looking to deal for vets. That's where we come in.

I don't see any fireworks happening. But if it does, it'll be for someone no one has on their radar. I can't see it being Kevin Love anymore. If we are going to get him, it'll have to be Kevin Love choosing us next year as a free agent.

BOS doesn't have the vets to coddle that guy.

Short contract and cheap money I take my chances with Stephenson. I'm frustrated with the fact that there is no direction with this team. DA contacted 30+ free agents I understand you want to talk to a lot of guys but out of the 30 you can't land 1? Can't trade up in the draft? Can't land Love? What is he doing? If DA is trying to be mediocre he gets an A from me for the offseason if mediocrity is the goal.
What do you guys think of the reported interest in Turner? I think his value is pretty low right now for the right price I would take him. He can score rebound and pass he would be a good fit in Stevens system plus we currently have no one who can score Turner would be able to fill that role. Anyone hear how much he's looking for? Is 7 mil too much or to little?

I still think there is a chance for fireworks. I think reporters will report anything though. The Celtics show interest in someone suddenly it's a story. I'm sure Ainge does his homework and shows interest in a lot of guys to guage different things.
Still would love to get Cousins and Love here and have that frontline to go with Rondo. A lot of talk of trading rondo but it is possible he has a good year he is going to be hard to trade for other reasons. I hope DA continues to stick to his guns.

Cousins? Why would Sac trade Cousins? Are you tying the two together because Cousins told Simmions Rondo is the best PG in the league? No way Sac gives up Cousins

Im not a good salary cap guy but Bogans is still on the books with a non guaranteed contract. I got to believe it would have been easy to clear a little space maybe move Bass or Green. Im not a cap expert but seems like it could have been done fairly easy

I want lebron and KD. Can we add them in too. See if we can get john wall and Bradley beal to come off our bench. Then we will be contenders. Maybe wiggins will just decide to come to the celtics instead of Cleveland. Also just sign rondo to 4 years at 10 mil per and I'm good with that.

The Celtics just got another trade exception and have a ton of draft picks plus expiring deals. We can target other assets to make moves ultimately or target players who can help us in the interm. Whether we can is something else but DA is still targeting these things. The point is the Celtics are still in the drivers seat on this stuff. We may trade rondo but there is still a possibility of fireworks too. I was reading an article the other day where the reporter was like seems like there is a rondo rumor every day and it's because we don't know what DA is doing. This is a reporter reporting on the Celtics an dhe doesn't know what they are doing and doesn't even read what he writes. Most people ain't nothing and have jumped the shark anyways. It's all about reporting something without going into the reasons why it is and they create this stuff themselves. We could trade Rondo eventually but the chances of him staying are just as good.
There's no set way how ainge is going about this other than pairing down the roster right now. If he can make fireworks happen he would if it fits. This stuff has gotten b oring to me anyways. Most people have no clue what is going on.
I'm happy with Jeff Green and Rondo and hope they stay. Players improve and get better. So many times plaeyrs get panned and go on to having great seasons and careers. It's happened. These same people complain about Bradley being overpaid when they don't even do their jobs. NBA players get paid a lot of money. What else is new.
I'm pretty happy with this team. Not finished by any means.

ainge has this team positioned well where something can still happen. You don't know these gm's personally. Ainge just made trades clearing cap and putting us in better position to do things like that. We chose not to spend on Humphries and bayless and got Thornton and Zeller two younger pieces. Picked up another draft pick. Resigned Bradley. He's only 23 years old. I think Stephenson and Turner are somewhat legitament go betweens but how much interest is there who knows. We only have so many roster spots and draft picks and players like Rondo and Green are more valuable in ways.
Even if he can't make something happen tomorrow I want to watch this team compete because it should be entertaining. We just drafted 2 really good young players and Rondo is always fun to watch. KO, Sully and all these guys. JGreen is fun to watch and root for too. One of my favorite players. The guywent through heart surgery and is out there playing in the nba. He's a walking miracle as is.
