Is a good move on many fronts I feel. This roster as it stands going into the year is too young in ways and not talented enough. Stephenson is another one of those guys who would give us veteran leadership although not sure how the Celtics are viewing the trade. It could be possible it would give us a vet if we deal Rondo which I'm still hoping isn't the case yet. Still hoping we can put a team around him and the young guys become a part of that as it stands. This team is still at a crossroads in that regard. Whether to go full out rebuild or put a team together than win. I think this team is too y oung as it stands to full out rebuild right now and not even sure if that plan even works in the long run either. You need good players and Stephenson would fill a role in that regard although I more hope it would be to put a team together with Rondo at this point.
I can see Ainge being interested in Stephenson for a lot of reasons though. Definitely wouldn't hurt but depends on if we can get him for a trade exception which seems unlikely. We'd have to throw in picks it seems like which would kind of negate the benefit if we are building for the long haul. We still have Rondo and he doesn't cost us anything in that regard.

I like Stephenson though. He's still young and some people don't like him but plays the game the right way imo and is physically much more mature than a lot of the players we have. Just watching tape he's another big guard. He's physically mature and does a lot of things and versatile. Fits into that mold of what I'd like to see.
Isiah Thomas and Mclemore aren't making me deal Rondo. Stephenson if we can get him cheaper than that or in some way on certain terms would make some sense to me. Easier said than done though.
DA is going to work his magic in some way I hope before this offseason is over. It might not be possible. KLove is still out there. I'm not expecting fireworks but would be nice if he can do something we aren't expecting.

I'm torn on Stephenson. He's a really good player and is only 23 but he is a loose cannon. I don't think he would be a good fit with the Celtics because of the lack of veteran leadership. Stephenson is a bad dude he's had some real trouble in his past he could be toxic on a losing team like the Celtics. We just signed Bradley that would be a lot of money tied up between the two of them. If he signed with us I would be happy but if we pass on him I'm OK with that too. IMO Stephenson is not coming here.

I don't think Stephenson would be a good fit on this team. He needs to be on a winning team full of vets that can help keep him in line.
But now that the TPE is gone it is probably a moot point anyway. I can't see any trade that would bring him to Bos, unless it was for Rondo.
