I think more than likely it will be less than 35 wins derren, but I'm still in wait and see mode with this team. It's just for fun anyways and if we can't try to win every game why even play it. Right now we don't look like we are going to win 15 games. It's still very early though. Maybe need to lower my expecations to between 15-35 wins. 25 win team would be pretty bad. I expect more than that honestly.
I'm going to stick with my playoff prediction because why not.

It's going to be fun this year watching college hoops closely this season. The probability of the Celtics really get a top talent in next years draft excites me. Wiggins, Parker, Randel, Smart the list goes on. I think we all can agree Sully, KO, Bradley are a pretty good core especially when you add a top talent in the draft. We still will probably have Green and who knows what happens with Rondo. If we keep Rondo and still win 25-30 games I think that would put us in the best position for the future. We will have cap space coming off the books with Hump (12 mil) and Bogans (5mil non guarentee) becoming FA and we have our 10 million trade exception. People will be knocking hard on our door trying to clear cap space to be able to sign Lebron, Carmelo, Wade, Bosh and more.
Though it will be a painful season we have a lot of options and our young guys are going to get some valuable playing time. I think DA has this team headed in the right direction.

We've gone througj nearly 1/5 of the season, and if we keep up this pace, we're inline to win between 30 - 32 games. I guessed 31 wins.
But when Rondo returns, our win% should go up. But when he will return, and how many more games he'll help is win is not known.

But when he will return, and how many more games he'll help is win is not known. i was thinking about this as well. He could be back very soon and the celtics could still legitamently win the division with him. C's have been playing everything close to the vest so far and being patient with everything pretty much. It will be interesting if he comes back or if we look to deal him. I had a dream last night the celtics were shopping him pretty strong but who knows. I still think our team has some very good pieces and it's kind of difficult to say. I think we are sitting in the 9th or 10th spot right now as far as draft position. We are in a weird spot. I'm not one to focus too much on the lottery though. I still think we have a good team but if Rondo's injury is going to linger and be an issue we might look to get out. Jeff Green is still very much in the air as well. I don't think the lottery is the end all be all. This team has options. Right now Sully is probably our best player with Green a second wheel which i kind of like. With Rondo coming back might get interesting. I think how we are playing is different than that though. It's just more about getting better and figuring things out. Guys like KO and Bradley are going to keep getting better too. I like how we are playing and just evaluating and trying to get better individually as well and taking our sweet time.

How many wins do you guys think the Celtics will have this season? It will be fun to look back at this thread at midseason or the end of the year. Bragging rights to whoever nails the exact win total! Great thread Nateval. Good to look back at what everyone wrote, and their predictions and wants for the team for the season, Including record. Since the board has been so quiet, I thought I'd bring this up... Some really good quotes in there...

Haha, I said 38 originally, adjusted it to 31, but even that seems unlikely.
Over the last 21 games left in the season, we'd have to play just over .500 for us to reach 31 wins (going 11 and 10 against a bunch of playoff teams, as well as some obvious tankers). Possible, but not likely with all our injuries.

25 wins. Bottom 3 team. I think the team will make progress throughout the season. Just won't translate to wins. Lookin good boys! Hold your breath for the last 21 games!!

My 29 prediction is still possible, but I think kval may be in the best seat with his 25 win prediction with the injuries going on.
