The two that got away. I've mentioned these two before but is it possible Seattle would even deal these guys at this point? Walker, Banks and a pick for those 2.

Has Seattle determined their head coaching position yet?
I think this is important in determining whether they'd be willing to depart with their future PG. Antonio Daniels could be gone and getting rid of Ridnour (who played a lot of minutes last year), may not be in their best interest.
I like Ridnour a lot and I see him as being a player close to Nash's abilities. I'm not really sure what I think of Robert Swift because I have not seen him enough to get a good feel for his game. But there's still talks of Ainge having interest in acquiring him, so he must really like his game.

Not to my knowledge. I don't see them letting Ridnour go either. Maybe if we could get Swift from them though and sign Dickau it might net the same results. If they are losing Daniels maybe a Banks for Swift swap might work. Then we go out and sign DAn the man. Let Walker walk.
Dickau, West Pierce, Green Allen, Ricky, Reed Jefferson, Scalabrine, Gomes Raef, Perk, Blount, Swift

I wonder what Swift offers that Perkins doesn't already? I mean, neither are athletic big men and neither are quick in the post. Perkins has more brute strength.
Maybe Swift has more basketball smarts and feel, which I can see intriguing Ainge more than an enforcer type like Perkins.

They offer different things. I think they would be a nice tandem to have down the line potentially with neither being "the" guy.

Never thought I would see you say this CF. Walker's agent will be fired if he doesn't get a S&T done. That's the only way he gets more than MLE, to the best of my knowledge. If we were to get Swift, does this make a trade w/Blount a possibility? Maybe for the vet PG we might need. Could we get by with West, vet PG and O.Greene? Sounds good to me, if we get a solid vet. Might be good back up if we can get W.Bynum on our NBDL.

See that's where you are wrong about me C17. It has to be a deal that makes sense. Just trading WAlker because you or whoever thinks he sucks I disagree with.

A Banks for Swift trade? I could see that because Banks has potential to be a flashy PG because he has physical gifts. Banks backing up Ridnour may be a good tandem for them. Swift backing up Perkins, or Perkins backing up Swift sounds interesting for us.

Sorry to assume anything about your take on the subject. I just haven't seen him fitting into the new system for a while. His FG and FT % are what bring me down on his game. AW tend to force things at times - IMO.

It's all good as usual C17. We've already had this talk. You aren't the first to assume that sticking up for Walker means there is some sort of emotional attachment is involved. The reality is he is an asset and trading him or letting anyone ont he C's walk is tough, mainly because I dont think we have a whole lot of trash right now. Even Blount under the right circumstances can serve a purpose although he is about as far down the line.

Could we get by with West, vet PG and O.Greene? Sounds good to me, if we get a solid vet. Might be good back up if we can get W.Bynum on our NBDL. This is what I'm getting at pretty much. I don't know how the pg situation is going to shake out but I would like to solidify one spot and go with West and Greene as our up and comers. Banks seems to be the odd man out mainly because he holds some trade value which Greene doesnt at this point. If i had to choose between Banks and West I would choose West. Having West, Banks and a Vet might not leave enough pt to go around. Much like GP, West and Banks were last year.... We could keep Banks and west and get a marginal vet that is only going to play 10 minutes a game but im not really sold on that. Or we go with what we have in Banks, West and Greene....... IF we were to trade Banks for Swift i dont think that really affects Blount or Raef. I still think both Perk and Swift are still pretty green, so we would need a few guys around to hold the fort a bit. Down the line though yes.

I don't see AJ as the startign 4 this year. I don't think DA does either. That is one reason I think he is playing the AW thing as he is. He is letting his agent fish to see what he can get. I ahven't seen anything about anyone wanting to sign AW. The only talk has been about a possible sign-and-trade. SO FAR that sounds as though teams with the available cap aren't trying to land him. I think DA is hpoing that AW only gets offered the MLE, and therefore stays in Boston.
DA didn't get Scal. to start. But isn't part of his of his salary going to be coming out of the MLE? Which might make AW harded to fit in money-wise.
In short, I don't have a clue as to what DA is going to do. But I don't th ink AJ starts.

Good point about the PG PT CF. A rook might fit in better with West and a vet. West could move to the 2 when he's hot too. I'ld like to give him a shot at 1 - first. I believe he can learn the NBA PG role. If this team runs all the players need to find the open man.

Well if the summer league is any indication that might be a legitament concern. The thing is the summer league is rarely much indication. I do agree that some people are jumping the gun thinking it's a given that AL J is going to be able to play 30 minutes plus a night, every night at this point. It is possible but it's also reason why I am not so quick to dump on Walker. He could very well be back and you could all be biting your lips again. I am with you though Ferbo. I have no idea what is going to happen or how it's going to shake out.

That's why MBlount might not be moved. IMO He can run for a big guy.
Hey! Good to see you on a regular basis CF. You are needed.
