Thank you both, and thanks FLCeltsFan for baby thing. I'm not as versed in that as you are (I mean, wow, 2 grandkids and 5 kids..that's something), but I have both brother and sister that are quite younger than I am, so I have some experience at least on how it works. @eja: No particular reason...maybe I got fond of that nickname, cause my dad told everyone before my birth that I'm gonna be called Gavra (and Gavran is Serbian word for Raven). That's the only connection I could think of. Though, luckily, I'm not named like that, cause I don't like the sound of that word in Serbian, but I like the bird. So, no need to worry, I'm not here to troll because Patriots lost to Ravens last night. And I'm familiar with the news about Darko, probably that pulled the trigger for me to register, cause I will try to give some more info on him, cause I had the chance to watch him play here, and even then I thought it was too soon for him to go to the NBA. I'm aware that few Serbs played for the Celtics lately. Unfortunately for the team, not the best players we had (Vlade, Peja...and other less good, but had their moments, Jaric, Radmanovic Rebraca, etc.). And that link you had in the opening post was from Serbian journals, just saying, don't wanna sound like I'm nit picking.

Hi everyone. I'm a long time Celtics fan from Serbia. I've been a fan since I was in elementary school, and I'm 27 now, waiting my own kid soon...so, it's been a while. Though, back then internet wasn't as wide spread as it is now, or fast either, so I didn't have a chance to watch that many Celtics games. TV stations that usually covered NBA couldn't do just Celts (and I'm not sure if they would if they could, lol). Anyway, that was then, now I'm able to watch games. I even made my soon to be wife watch the games with me, witch made me quite happy...it's not easy, especially in Europe, to find a girl that would want to watch an NBA game, let alone if it is after midnight. Good to be here...looks like a live board, and hopefully we will have nice discussions during the season. I also found some other boards, but this Celtics board looked the most interesting, and here I am. Welcome to Celtics Green, Raven. Glad to have you here. I'm glad you find our place suitable to your liking. We like it too! So how do you feel about our team this year?

I like it this year better than the last. I was disappointed with Ray Ray when he decided to go to the Heat, but I don't think he would be valuable that much to the Celtics this season, cause he started to decline. I just had respect for that guy, he was in the league since I started to watch NBA, wasn't expecting that he would leave to a rival team.
Terry is a player I really like, great guy, and never had a problem coming off the bench.
And the size...much better this year. We have few guys that are capable of giving some good minutes at center position. Sullinger is a great pick, hopefully he won't have problems with his back.
I'm glad that we kept Jeff Green, cause I think he will be a great addition this year.
I'm just hoping that we won't play KG at center a lot, cause I think we have guys who are good defenders there, and can contribute more on offense than the centers from last season. Collins is a good defender, and Darko, I believe, will be somewhat of a surprise. I think that he finally is in a place where he can be used properly. And I wouldn't play Wilcox at center a lot as well, only when we play a team that doesn't have a true center as well. But I know he wouldn't see much playing time at PF next to KG and Bass.

Interesting point, Raven. Jason Collins is known mainly for his physical defense (maybe his only contribution), and Darko gives us shot blocking and size.
Moving KG back to PF and using either Collins or Darko for their defense might be a thought.
But lets see how Bass does this year defensively. Maybe this is an area we'll see him step up at.

Yeah, I know that Collins is good defender, though I think Darko is better, but that aside, with Collins, on offense, it's like you are playing 4 on 5 basketball. I can't say that is a good enough for a team that is trying to go to the finals. You don't have that luxury, no matter how good others are on offense. BTW, why can't I have a capital first letter in my name? That's how I typed it when I registered. And also, I can't find user control panel, to add avatar and such...just curious if I skipped that somehow, or I'm supposed not to have those options.

Raven, I'm not sure about the name thing. It seems like you should be able to have whatever letters you want capitalized. As far as where to change your avi or sig, look at the top under the banner and click on profile. On the profile page, to the right of your name, click on modify profile. I hope that helps.

Hi everyone My name is Rain and I bleed green just like you guys do. I'm Filipino and currently live in Abu Dhabi in the Middle East. I love talking about basketball especially the Celtics, and I play a bit as well. I always use KG as my inspiration when I play: I try to anchor the defense and be a vocal leader on the floor, just like the Big Ticket. Excited and happy to be here

Hey there, Rain. I'm from Hawaii, and the Filipino culture is just as big as any other culture we have here (my niece is half Filipino).
Hope you guys join in on the conversations and discuss our beloved Celtics.

Well, that's the problem, I can't find a "profile". Under the banner I have "set my status to away", and below that three links, home, help and search. Below that is Private Messages Panel, with new pm, mark read, inbox, outbox and preferences. And beneath it says "welcome back raven, you currently have 0 messages", and I can click on a link for messages, but that still doesn't lead me to desired location. Sorry if I'm being annoying now, I was just wondering where it is, and now it's just odd that I can't find it, and you say it should be there. I thought at first that I need to post certain number of posts before I'm able to add avatar, or something like that.

Fantastic place...definitely not something you see very often. Beautiful landscape, beaches, surfing...a piece of paradise.

Raven, its the people that make Hawaii beautiful!!!! Glad you enjoyed the island. What part of the island did you visit? If you just stayed in Waikiki and in that area, then you missed out on a whole lot of other beautiful things on Oahu.

You may be right Raven on needing to have more posts to be able to add an avi and sig. Does anyone know the answer to his question on finding his profile? You aren't annoying in the least Raven. I just wish I had some answers for you. I'm probably the least technical on this board

Yeah, I know I missed out on a lot of things, but there's so much when can see for 7 days. And I was in Waikiki, of course...but, I was happy with that as well, cause that was my first, and only time so far, to go to the US. I was on a Work and Travel program. Been living on the Cape Cod for 4 months, and then traveled for 1 month around the States. Since some great cities and places. Too bad I didn't have more time. And, if it was up to me, I would have stayed on Hawaii forever. If I get a chance, who knows, I might do that.
