But when the Celtics were in the lottery, their numbers all included 3 basic numbers. If I remember correctly, they were all combinations of 1, 2 and 3. Now, if they want to fix the lottery so that the Celtics didn't win they would just paint one of those numbers with lead based paint and that number wouldn't come up. A PA Bingo hall got busted for doing the same thing a few years back. Not saying the NBA did it but, it would be very easy to do. Haha I love the idea of a bunch of outraged bingo players ripping that machine to bits and finding out its rigged. But if anything, the lottery would be rigged in Boston's favor. Boston is a huge sports market.

W/out conclusive evidence however, one has to wonder how teams that intentionally "tank" the season, never win the lottery.
Sidebar:
>MIN - anyone think Stern is still penalizing the team for the "secret" (or not so secret) signing of Joe Smith?
>BOS - anyone think they were penalized in the Duncan draft for the years of Red Aurebach (general arrogance)?

Hmm..I dont like thinking about the Duncan draft just because of the thought of how dominant we could have been with Duncan..sigh...sad times.

I dunno, the Cavs pretty much stripped their roster of any talent the year before the Lebron draft. They were definitely playing for ping pong balls that year. Same with Denver.
