For me, it goes Jordan, Bird, and Magic at the top. They are tough to separate. They were all so incredibly good. I can't put Russell with those three because to be the best ever because I think you have to be a guy that can take over games offensively to be the greatest ever. After those three, I say the next tier is Wilt, Russell, and Oscar. Kareem would be right on their heels. Hakeem and Tim Duncan would also be in the top ten.
Getting back to Russell in today's game, he would've done so well with a PG like Rondo or Paul. Dude would've been an alley-oop passer's best friend.

I'd pay to see Russell and Cousy go up against Jordan and Pippen. Not to forget HEinsohn vs Rodman etc.
Bird vs Magic, Lakers vs CEltics was pretty much that in reality during the 80's as far as goliath alltime matchups.
